@Ergates, that was a very interesting read. I am not sure as to whether my surgery has a dedicated physio and (touch wood) I have no need for one at the moment but I'll keep that information in mind.

@Ergates my preferred side is also free from bursitis. T'is a blessing. Sleep well!
We took some stores up to the caravan for our stay this week. 12C up in the hills of Wales. Brrrr. We're used to it.
We're off to Llanberis in 2 weeks and have booked the train up Yr Wyddfa. (Snowdon)
Shall I book the snow suits?

          Hi all

Sorry haven’t read back, but hope you are all well.
We have spent some time on our private beach, lots of great bird life. Tonight have been to the local, a pub I have known for nearly 40 years, drinking a local IPA to go with some very fresh Red Mullet.
Sadly the weather looks dreadful for the next few days, but I’m sure we will find something to do.

I watched the match (on and off) too @Dovefromabove. England were mediocre even though they scraped that win. Signing out for this evening. Enjoy whatever you have planned.

OH decided not to watch the football, especially as it looked like we weren’t doing very well. However when he glanced in at the end and saw the result, he has now relented and is watching the match on catch up! Much better for his blood pressure!
Thanks for the sympathy re Dartanyan the donkey. I posted his picture on this thread some weeks ago. His obituary appeared in the local papers, he was obviously a great favourite for lots of visitors to the sanctuary. Won’t be the same, but he had a good life and was well looked after.
Sounds as if we have been very privileged with the weather down here? Dry and sunny, although rather cooler than the last week. Can’t help thinking we should have done even more gardening while the weather has been kind, but restricted by energy levels, dodgy backs, and at least another week before the green bins are emptied! The bird baths have had to be refilled daily though, very popular with the baby crows.

Hello all, just a quick look in as it's quite disconcerting with one eye without a cataract and the other still with, can't wait to have the other one done in a couple of weeks. This no bending over malarkey is no joke and as for all the eye drops, that will be even more confusing after the next one :yikes:
Take care all with aches and pains.

                            Morning all.

I can see some sunshine. We are going to Diss for a few bits this morning, I didn't have my shopping list yesterday in Thetford. Then I hope to do some gardening.

The Oranges and Lemons rose has got too tall again and has flopped over a purple lupin, needs staking. Other tidying up jobs to do too.

OH felt very similar after his first cataract op, @floralies, very weird for the few weeks before the second one. He did try taking one of the lenses out of his old glasses but that didn’t really work! At least he didn’t find the difference in colour perception a problem ( just enjoyed how vivid everything looked) unlike a friend who had chosen an expensive new sofa before having her eyes done, and then realised that she didn’t like the colour without the yellowish tinge.

                                Good Morning everyone. Happy July
                                :sunflower:

It’s a week off for me and Wimbledon-watching planned. It’s the only sport I really enjoy and a big part of that is the memories of years gone by - my Mum teaching me the rules, strawberries and the time I had tickets for the men’s semi-finals.

It’s cloudy and drizzling here but I’m having a cuppa outside and the air is filled with the cheeping and trilling of a plume (a banditry?) of coal tits in the Acer and hedge. Maybe they’ve fledged today? Bit late? Or there’s something on the menu they like today?

                                Have a lovely day all.
