    Morning all.

I hope all plant deliveries arrive today in good condition. I love Penstemons.

OH is taking me out to lunch today at my favourite restaurant which is good as I won't have to cook tonight. We are going to early evening drinks with friends for an anniversary but not a meal.

    It's been raining.

Thank you @Busy-Lizzie , expecting three Westminster Belle penstemons for my front garden. They're to replace three heucheras which didn't make it through last winter :)

Morning from a very soggy north Wales.
We are also going out for lunch, as we have enough loyalty tokens for a free meal. They helpfully display calorie counts!
Then we must pick up more bird food, as the woodpecker has found our peanuts!

          Morning all.

On a week off I can go to bed later and get up later, which is great, but I’ll pay for it next week when my body clock is forced back to work mode.

I’m sad that dovefromabove has left, so as a tribute to her friendliness, wisdom and company over the years…

I have been having a sort out at home. I am taking a lot of clothes to my Bestie's tomorrow as one of her neighbours organises regular collections to send to the Ukraine. How many pairs of socks can one person accumulate?! There is another bag of 'stuff' for the Sue Ryder shop. For many years I played squash competitively and now has come the time I need to part with my beloved racquets (got a colander for my spaghetti now!) so I have just counted up 11 racquets that need to go plus a couple of badminton racquets, as I played that too. The squash racquets are all in good order apart from needing new handle grips and I've offered them to friends here. I will be sorry to see them go - the end of another era.

@Bluejayway, I hope that your penstemons will be in good condition when they arrive.
@Busy-Lizzie enjoy your lunch out and your meet up with your friends. I hope that your knee is less painful today.

@Bluejayway, I've just looked up your penstemons and they are gorgeous! I've tried growing penstemons but without any real success. I think my garden is too wet and cold for them.

@Ladybird4 I saw a photo that @Mrs Hillard posted of hers back on the GW forum and was captivated. Have already got one in a pot that seems to be quite happy:)

Hello all, just back from a SM shop and the wind is still quite chilly.
Your post @Ladybird4 about socks reminded me of when my daughter seemed to think I needed bed socks for everyday of the week! I don't even wear them! what do I do with them?
I have Penstemon cuttings waiting to be planted, they do well down here, a friend gave me a lot a long time ago and she didn't know the names of them, I must learn how to put a photo on here!

Ooh now there's a thought @Bluejayway. I never thought about growing them in a pot. Hmmm I will think on that one.
