When Bestie and I got back to my car, someone in one of those ugly vehicles that look like two cars stuck together had parked so close to my door that I couldn't get in. I had to go to the passenger side and climb over into my driving seat. This resulted in me tweaking my back so I was in a great deal of pain. There are some very inconsiderate people on the roads these days. I had to sit and wait for a moment and put on the heater and the massage facility I have on my car seat. Once my back had calmed down I was able to drive back to Bestie's to drop her off.

      Good afternoon, everyone.

Oh be careful with your back @Ladybird4. My troubles started with a tweak when I over reached for a hanging basket 2 weeks ago, and it’s still bothering me on and off, some days worse than others. You wouldn’t credit the thoughtlessness of some when they park, would you?

I’m late posting because my brother and his daughter in law to be came for a visit and we went out for a lunch. They've not long since gone, so I’ve not had time until now to catch up.

So sorry to hear of that inconsideration. I hope the pain reduces.

It's not got above 14 here, but feels cool in the gusty winds.
We went to our fave GC in Ruthin. I was the last of the big spenders and bought some twine. I coveted an Alstroemeria but when i saw the price, i left it there. The hens ate all of mine.

Afternoon all, sunny here but with a very stiff breeze all day. I don't know why but I dislike gardening when it's windy, so I've only done half an hour or so just now. The gooseberries look ready to pick but I'm waiting for the forecasted rain tomorrow to plump them up a bit.

Do hope your back is okay @Ladybird4, a you say, some of these cars are monsters and the carpark spaces are just not big enough.

We voted this morning on our way to the paper shop, very few people around so I'm guessing it will be a very poor turnout.

Thanks for the reminder @Bluejayway, that'll give me something to do tonight other than think about food - or rather the lack of it!

                    Have a good evening everyone.

@Penny_Forthem, you have just brought back some memories for me. My Dad was in the RAF and moved around all over the place with his various postings. After retiring from the Force he and Mum lived in Malta for a few years but when the grandchildren started arriving they decided to come back to the UK. They bought a house in a place called Bryn-y-Baal and shortly after moving there they moved on to a bungalow in Mynnyd Isa. They reckoned it was just near enough for us all to visit them but just far enough away that they wouldn't be roped in for baby sitting!
We used to visit Ruthin and I remember many lovely market days there.

I hope your back is OK @Ladybird4. Take care.

My knee is still hurting but I managed 2 hours gardening this afternoon, mostly dead heading and providing support, not much kneeling. Did ironing this morning. It was windy so I managed to get 2 loads of washing done, mostly sheets and towels from when son stayed. Other son is coming with wife and 3 daughters mid July.

Painting man has been. He's painting the outside of the cottage, windows today while it wasn't raining as they had to be left open for a bit.

                            Evening folks.

I’ve just prepped the garden for the rain and wind ahead - washing line covered, parasol in, cushions in, poly-house zipped up.

@Ladybird4 - a back strain or muscle pull is bad enough but when it’s effectively someone else’s fault then that hurts twice. I hate PPP too (p*** poor parking).

Take care all, especially those with aches and pains.
