Hi @Penny_Forthem. My plot is doing very well, except weeds. It's warm and every now and then we have some rain. Tomorrow I'll go to cottage and take some photos.

Good morning everyone. Hope you all slept well. These weekends come round too quickly. Must check on the compost situation as I've got my grow tables to fill up today. Whatever you have got planned today, have a marvellous one!

        Good morning folks!

A thunderstorm during the night - I'd left the cushions out as it was such a lovely evening - a sprinkling of rain and this morning brings humidity. Hopefully the sun will come out later.

I do exercises sitting on my Swiss Ball as now with bung knee and hip I can neither get up nor down!

Off on my bike run in a minute as it is warm already.

I must say it is good growing weather - sunshine, rain and humidity. Reminds me of Auckland. But; brings blight and other nasties into the veggie garden.

        Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Good morning @Tui34. I hope you don't meet any rude people this morning whilst on your ride. I tried @Obelix-Vendée's recommendation last night and I do have to say I have noticed a slight improvement in my back this morning so I will be persisting with that exercise each evening.

            Morning all.

We've had heavy rain. Should be more today.

We are going to the monthly church coffee morning today, then to Peter Beales roses then a drink in a very old pub and then Waitrose.

Oh @Bluejayway, that is so cute. I have a little robin that comes and sits on my kitchen windowsill when the plant feeder is empty. One thing not so cute about the seagulls round me is the poop I just spotted on one of my windows this morning and on my car on the drive. Another unexpected job to add to the 'to do' list!

Morning everyone (just) it hasn't stopped raining here since yesterday. It was supposed to clear through by now. As I said on another thread, at least I was able to put the nematodes on yesterday in between the showers. Hopefully they will reduce the slugs.

                    Good afternoon,

It’s a drizzly sort of day so far, interspersed with warm sunshine. At the moment it’s looking rather dark outside, so pleased to be back from the supermarket. We don’t usually go on Saturday, but had other things to do this week. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was and how easily we got to a checkout without having to queue.

I hope you didn’t encounter that rude man again today on your bike ride @Tui34.

Your visitor is looking very optimistic @Bluejayway. Hope he/she doesn’t leave a calling card on your path or window, though.

Well the rain proper has arrived now, so any deadheading will have to wait.

                        Good afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen,

I've been battling 2 prolonged migraines (with a one day break between them). I remained functional throughout, but I didn't want to risk posting some mad rant on here, fuelled by the aforementioned.

The weather has been very Autumnal this last week or two (highs of around 16C instead of the expected 18-19).

I've been reading back on all the posts I've missed. Has @Dovefromabove left the forum? If so, that is a very great loss to our "virtual village". She was kind, capable, welcoming and really, really, really knew her stuff when it came to gardening. I wish her and her loved ones well for the future.

Beautiful containers and expertly grown plants you have there @Bluejayway .

Sorry to hear that your back is still playing up @Blue arbour . I have a bad back myself, so you have my sympathy. You probably already knew about this, but the posture adopted in my very-badly-drawn diagram below is something I often find helpful. Lie on your back on the floor, with your knees bent upwards, and you feet as flat as possible, then bring your heels towards your posterior. Lie in that position, staring at the ceiling for a while, and I find it usually helps.
                        back.JPG

Glad the weight loss is progressing well @lizzie27 .

I hope your back is now OK @Ladybird4 , and I hope your knee is improving @Busy-Lizzie .

Hopefully your dishwasher will be repaired soon @Obelix-Vendée and also that @floralies is enjoying her new cataract-free vision, and that all will go equally well with her other eye.

Sorry to hear of your unpleasant encounter with the rude man @Tui34 . Hopefully you won't meet him again.

Best wishes to all, as always.

@Badly_Maintained - so sorry to read about your double migraine whammy. They can be so debilitating. I hope you are feeling much much better and that you don't get another attack for a long while.

We also hit the supermarket today - never normally go on a Saturday. However, we are having DiL's parents over tonight (they cancelled last week, 'cos of covid). I've got buttermilk spiced chicken on the go, salmon baking in the oven, Caesar salad, new pots and shed loads of olives! Tart au citron for pud. Diet? What diet?
It galled me, though, to have to buy tomatoes and cucumber, when I have them in the greenhouse, struggling to ripen.

Hope all with aches and pains manage a pleasant day.
