Good morning all!

Beautiful day here with just a wee breeze!! I pulled out weeds that are growing along the outside of my wall which looks onto the street, this morning after my bike run. I did about three quarters before it got too hot. I swept all the fiddly bits into the gutter - hopefully the Council will come along with its sweeper and get rid of it. Some of the vine from the pergola was hanging over the wall onto the footpath so I cut that back as well. It's about 26°C today. Last night was cool after the rain we had on Saturday. Not complaining though!

I hope you are all enjoying the rainy weather!! (sorry) and that it fines up soon.

Hello all, just been trying to sort out my tomato plants they have grown into a jungle, I'm not supposed to be doing any gardening at the moment but needs must as OH has not got a clue about them apart from eating them! We are so behind in the garden so it's best he does other things.
It's supposed to get to 30c today so that's me finished for the day.

 

Monday, here in Forest City, NC . one more night sleep here and driving back to New Bern, NC for a few nights to finish some projects there, then drive home North to Parkesburg, PA. We will be home in Parkesburg, PA for a few weeks, leaving again July 25, heading to Louiseville, KY. for a car show. I just hope it rained at least once while we were gone.
Today, trying to visit a few gem mines to look for gems. Why, no clue, husband wants to do that. SMH. Hope to find a good salad somewhere, need veggies, and lots of them this week. Probably a bit of food shopping when we get to New Bern. Anyway another hot one today here. Take care all.

Yesterday was cloudy with showers and cold-feeling. Today is cloudy, but with prolonged sunny spells and pleasantly warm. I have re-potted two chrysanthemums from 5 litre pots into 10 litre pots, and I have patched a hole in the side of one of the two wooden sheds I inherited when I bought this house.

Good afternoon all. Sunny here today and I did enjoy my walk up into the village. It is only a mile so is just a nice, gentle exercise and I can chat to all the other walkers. I was supposed to have seen the Dental Hygienist for a deep clean and polish (below gum line apparently) after my last check up, but I had a dreadful cold and cough and had to cancel it. Teeth are all fine today and to cut a long story short I've sorted an appointment for 08:30 tomorrow morning with the Hygienist. Its a local anaesthetic job so I'm expecting much chin dribbling of tea when I get home.
@floralies, I know you will be very careful gardening to protect your new lens.

Just had a text from my team colleague and we are not at home tonight but away for this week's quiz. I will have to set out earlier than usual and dismiss all my quiz master quips for another time. I just wish that the Captain would give us a fixtures list at the start of the season.

Good afternoon,

It’s been a pleasant day today, quite mild and warm, with bursts of sunshine. I even managed a bit of gentle dead heading today as my back, although still niggly, feels less painful than yesterday. I won’t get too optimistic about it yet, though, as that pattern of really painful one day, to less so the next has been ongoing this last 2 1/2 weeks, but somehow it feels a bit different today, so fingers crossed.

Good evening all, we've had drizzle most of the day which didn't really affect us much. Dropped my daughter into town for a solo mooch whilst I met my old schoolfriend at a farm shop cafe for a celebratory lunch. Good to catch up on each other's news. She's got a short trip to Malta booked in a couple of weeks and says it's already 36c out there. As she is visiting a poorly aged relative, understandably ,doesn't want to cancel it.
We've got a yellow warning for heavy rain any time now right through to 8 am tomorrow.

It didn't rain, was actually quite nice with a bit of sunshine. The washing dried, duvet cover etc and I did some gardening in the front garden. Someone's cat had pooed there

 

Rain has held off here.
We went through the fridge. I'm not tall enough to get to the top shelf. Things had fur coats on. I am ashamed.
I have had a fast day. till hub discovered we still had wine left over from entertaining on Saturday. As i have had a fridge clearing day and did not want any lingering wine, I agreed to a glass, purely in the interests of recycling, you understand.
I may want to go to bed a bit earlier than normal

A very good morning one and all. Woke up to a downpour so I'm glad last night stayed dried for us. We got thrashed but it was a great night and our opponents were a nice, friendly group so losing wasn't such a bitter pill to swallow.
Thanks for the good wishes for this morning @lizzie27. I will definitely not be walking into the village today!
