Good morning folks :) it’s been suggested that this is the place where we can say hello each morning and share a cuppa and a catch up … is that ok with you … we new arrivals don’t want to gate crash an established group chat

Morning Upsy and all who follow. It is going to be a warm day here, up to 20c ... and even warmer come the weekend.

Oh dear Upsy, did the bus incident perhaps irritate your hip. You should rest up today and do gardening things from the comfort of a lounge chair.

All well here, so far there have been no complaints. Nothing planned for today that I know of but I plan on sitting out in the morning sun and transferring my orchid cactus cutting I have been rooting into a hanging basket.

      Have a restful day everyone.

Thank you @Victoria … it’s lovely that you’re all making us feel so welcome … we’re all a bit befuddled at the moment but I hope we’ll be able to slip in seamlessly and be able to make a positive contribution here.
          I’ve made some coffee … ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ and there’s tea in the pot

I’ve got to get ready to go out … my sons taking me to look at a new (to me) car as my lovely little Alfa MiTo was written off in a rear end crash the other week

              Good day
It is 39f 3.5c and clouds are efficiently blocking the rising sunbeams. The weather guessers say it will be going up to 54f 11c today which will be a bonus mild day before we get plunged into the deep freeze again. Apparently, the return to full on winter has been postponed until Sunday :)

Emily (for our new friends, she is my granddaughter) had a cavity in the one tooth and a small gum issue opposite. The cavity is gone and she now has her first filling. Not bad for a 16-year-old. The other issue will be resolved Saturday morning.

@Upsydaisy I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain. I wish I could pass you a piece of my special fudge as that would give you some relief. For now I hope a virtual hug will help. @Victoria it fascinates me that anyone can grow succulents. I am rubbish at it!

Since it will not be raining until perhaps lunchtime, I'm going to get out there and pull together any rubbish from the old animal barrier and get it to the front boulevard for tomorrow's collection.

When it starts raining, I'll either be tidying in the kitchen or laying out a cargo pants pattern on some heavy cotton fabric. I'm hoping there is enough fabric to also make a matching vest. :fingers crossed:

Cheers to all including you @Dovefromabove :coffee:

                  Thursday.
Wow, got up too early, 6:30AM. Guess the time change messing me up.
Brother-in-law coming over today for a visit. Have a bunch of stuff for lunch ready. He just got back from Poland, lives there part time with his Polish wife, she has her own home there, he has his house here, both are about 72 years old, so they worked out whatever. My husband is his closest sibling for him to visit. If he stays later, I have a pork roast planned . I know he does not cook for himself, or just junk stuff.
Finally the bundle of joy --Taxes--was taken to the accountant. Now if she can get going on it before the due date, April 15th. But she also has lots of others. It is what it is.
Suppose to be nice weather today, not planning to leave the house/property, so in the garden I go for most of it.
                  Have a good one all.

Good news indeed @Dovefromabove. Glad you’ve got another car relatively quickly, and that you’ll be zooming about once more .

Thanks @Blue arbour ... it's a white Fiat Punto ... in essence very similar to my white Alfa Romeo MiTo ... but a bit newer ... I've just taxed and insured it so all systems will be go on Saturday ... I foresee a trip to the seaside for fish and chips on Sunday ... I'm feeling a bit stir crazy ....

Hello & good afternoon old friends from GW & soon-to-be new friends from GC (hope you don't mind an ex-GW person joining your thread).

Finally finished sowing the last of my hardy annual seeds yesterday afternoon. The rain which has dominated here this week will water them for me :) (I'm always very pleasantly surprised when anything grows for me).

Hopefully your new car will provide you with many years of trouble-free service and happiness @Dovefromabove

Best wishes to @Upsydaisy for a speedy recovery from your very upsetting accident.

I'd just like to bring this thread to the attention of: @Tui34 @edinburgh

Best wishes to all. Have a safe day out there folks.

It’s a great feeling when you have your wheels back, isn’t it?
I’ve only recently reinsured mine for the year. All I can say is “ouch!”
I hope your granddaughter didn’t suffer too much discomfort from toothache before she had her filling @CanadianLori. Very good indeed that she got to 16 before needing her first filling..
Can I ask how do you bookmark this thread so that I can find it more easily please?
