Greetings all. Another sunny day here and dry but not set to get too hot. OH is out golfing somewere in a competition which means I can potter happily to myself.

Physio this morning and a thorough knee massage and flexion workout from a young physio on placement followed by my ususal sets of exercises. These chaps are inventive at finding new tricks. Do my balancing on one leg while standing on an A3 sized peice of plywood with just two hemispherical feet underneath and then repeat with eyes closed. Ha!

I'm so sorry about your dog @Goldenlily26 and hope they manage a diagnosis and successful treatment. Your picker-upper dog made me laugh @Penny_Forthem but I have trained my OH as a better bet and am still bendy myself. Just kneeling that's a problem and young physio says I should plan never to kneel again so waterproof cushion covers are on the sewing agenda.

I hope you and OH had a good night @lizzie27 and anyone else dealing with post or pre-op care.

Have a lovel day everyone - final of Sewing Bee tonight.

      Good morning ladies & gentlemen.

You can sometimes see Wales from here, but the two objects on the horizon in the photo are coasters (small cargo ships) who are waiting for a pilot boat to come out to guide them into a port farther along the coast.

I've eaten peanuts raw or roasted or in peanut butter, but I wasn't aware of boiled peanuts @redstar . Peanuts are a big thing here at Halloween. They are given out to children raw (and still in their shells).

Hopefully the house-airing went well with no feline escapees @AuntyRach .

Safe journey back to La Belle France tomorrow @Busy-Lizzie .

I wish your OH a speedy recovery from his surgery @lizzie27 .

I hope that your and your Cousin will have many happy times to come getting to know one another @Penny_Forthem .

@Blue arbour - I very much hope that you and your OH will both feel better soon.

Yesterday was a one day wonder. The traditional cloud has returned, with rain forecast this afternoon. I've been collecting seed heads from my Shirley poppies and I'm going to sow them in some public place, probably in the Autumn (there is a bit of - presently unused - ground beside the harbour which looks promising).

Have a safe day out there folks.

Yes, not aware either until we were driving some country roads in South Carolina, there is that sign Boiled Peanuts. And under a tent, some guy with his pot boiling away. Bags on the side ready to sell. Neat. One of my favorite travel focuses is to try some unique cultural foods. Even the simple Grits, every restaurant does them different.

Reminds me, there is a restaurant in Ohio near Cleveland, they serve roasted peanuts in the shells, and encourage the folks just to toss the shells on the floor, so yep, your walking on the shells. You might think folks slip about, seem no issues there.

Morning all. Wednesday. Raining. Busy day today, SUV to the auto mechanic for yearly inspection tag. Then get the other car and trip down to Brandywine River Museum to drop something off for the craft thing they do for Christmas. Lunch somewhere. Close enough to a favorite store to see what they have on sale .
Got a pedicure done yesterday, so pretty toes now.
                And its 8Am.
                Take care all. Later.

Those are great fun @RowlandsCastle. Thank you.

I shall send them to the knitters and crocheters in our club. They clearly can't emulate the postbox toppers - wrong kind of postboxes here - but now there is no excuse for not having some fun!

Good afternoon all. Got the smug face on here because I managed to get my washing dried and inside before the rain started plus I got all the gardening jobs on today's 'to do' list done.
@Obelix-Vendée I am really looking foward to the final tonight.
@Badly_Maintained, thank you for the clarification about your pictures. I was convinced I could see land across the whole of the horizon. I could see one more vessel to the right of the picture.
@RowlandsCastle, I hope it wasn't you who daubed your ice cream on the first topper! Shame on whoever did. They just bring a smile to your face. Thank you for posting these latest creations.

Nope, I didn't waste any ice cream on the first topper. I wasn't sure whether it was supposed to be seagull droppings!!

All your fault the last two talking about Ice Cream. Driving home I was, avoid the ice cream shop, avoid the ice cream shop. Now husband wants meatballs for dinner with tomato gravy and pasta, have to go out again. And Ice cream shop here I come.

Well, what an odd day I've had, food wise.
Met my lovely cousins (thankfully in a private room, as we were a bit raucous!) and I chose a coronation chicken on flatbread. It was plain chicken with mint dressing on a doughy, inedible slab of dough. No curry mayo to be seen, nor any of the promised spring onions/chillies. Not like any coronation chicken I've seen. I didn't complain tho I know I should have... they also forgot hub's side salad. I was not impressed.
Cousins all had sweet puds and I had cheese board. Oh, yum, stinking Bishop, Perl las and goat cheese. I brought a doggy bag home and have just finished it for supper.

Evening all, it's been another hot day. We had to take the car for a diagnostics test early this morning to see which ABS sensor needs replacing, that was done and a new RDV for the work to be done. We used to go to a local garage but that closed so now we have to take it to the main dealer who is charging extortionate prices! I felt rather washed out this afternoon so sat and watched the Olympic rugby sevens. Tomorrow i must do some watering and make soup!
I haven't quite caught up with Sewing Bee as there was too much buffering on the iplayer to watch the semi final.
