@Ladybird4 I would use a double yolker and just a splash of milk to replace 2 eggs in a cake or quiche … if that’s the sort of recipe you’re making?

Sorry to hear about your Westie @CatDouch . Pets leave such a hole in our lives when they're gone. I hope your rose memorial thrives and brings you the joy of happy memories in due course.

Thank you @Nel_Staffs and @Dovefromabove at times like this I wish I wasn’t an animal lover and didn’t have to go through this heartbreak but then I remind myself of all the joy they give you

:sign0016:@CatDouch. I was so sorry to read your sad news. I share that feeling as my beloved cat Lily was put to sleep on December 15th and whilst I have adopted another, I still grieve for her.
Sorry, getting a bit morose there. GW friends kept me grounded through some difficult times in my life - though they weren't aware of it at the time. This forum seems like it will be good fun once I work out how it all functions.

                  Good morning all.
Thank you @Victoria for your lovely welcome. I'm another refugee from GW and it's good to see old friends here. I was Busy-Lizzie at GW. Couldn't get in without changing my name.

This a been rather a harrowing 2 days. We were on our way from Norfolk to Dordogne, France when the GW news came, saw it on my phone. OH lives in Norfolk, I live in France - 2 gardens to manage! I've been posting on GW for 12 years and even met a few people from there in person, like @Dovefromabove .

It's raining here, the garden is very squelchy. I have roses to plant that I couldn't plant in January before we went to Norfolk because of the exceptional rain.

                      Good morning to you all!!

Grey and dismal here in the South of France and the wind has stilled. (for you @AuntyRach !!) The temperature is clement.

Off down to the markets on my bike to get my fresh eggs - I get the large as they are often double yolkers @Ladybird4

I'm sorry to hear about your wee doggie @CatDouch Such a wrench - we remember them for the rest of our lives. Their welcome. Their favourite spots in the sun.....

I hope that @Upsydaisy is not feeling too under the weather and wish them well.

As I wish everyone on this site a happy fruitful day.

So sorry you lost your four legged friend @CatDouch - they leave a big hole don’t they. Little white pet is a lovely rose - and a fitting tribute,

We have a dry morning forecast so I will do some more cutting back in my flower borders (half way through now). Then need to sow some more seeds and check that our latest mouse defences are holding up - little beggars had chewed a penny size hole in the draught excluder on the door

                          Hi all

Been raining all night, just for a change, but the sun is now out.
I think I need to start pricking out some of my seedlings, the window sills are now all full and it is only mid March.

Morning all, another ex-forkers lurker here . Kettle's just boiled if anyone wants a cuppa. I need to get a move on because my friends are picking me up later and we're off to RHS Harlow Carr. :fingers crossed: for the rain to hold off, looks like it's been tipping down in the night here.

Hello @CatDouch , I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your pet, always so sad, but the idea of a memorial rose is lovely. I have Little White Pet, it was recommended by another forum member to me a couple of years ago and it hasn't disappointed, it has been a prolific bloomer, so lovely. I too managed a walk yesterday and as it was a very gravelly, stony path there wasn't too much mud, always nice to get out, I hope you get to go again today. Don't worry about rambling, I am the best one for that, I always get carried away, I love reading people's posts too, it's like a window on the world.

Hello too to all my fellow ex GW friends, I felt quite bereft when I saw the site gone, but this place seems to be very friendly. I just need to work it out.

                                Good day to all.
