These are just a few pictures. We left with lots of happy memories of our day. Blessed with the kind weather - and with the tickets being for any day of the show/or available on the gates - meant that the people who had avoided the opening day when it teemed down, turned out yesterday, so it was very crowded when we left and the marquee interiors were becoming rather airless and steamy hot. Aside from that it was a joyous event.

                  Good Morning all.

Great photos @Ladybird4 - sounds like there was plenty to see. I am usually drawn to beautiful foliage and subtle colours, but that zingy jewel display in oranges and purples is gorgeous! Do you have a favourite display or plant??

@AuntyRach, I do have to say that when I first glimpsed that joyous colour combination I was a bit stunned and if someone had just described having those colours combined in a display I would have been hard pushed to visualise and accept it but oh my would I have been wrong! I absolutely loved it and that was my favourite in the show. This year seemed to be a heuchera/tiarella/heucherella show as these plants in every possible colour featured in many of the displays.
p.s. added on my Most Wanted list is an Albizia julibrissin! They had them at the show but I would never have been able to carry one on the bus back to the car park.

                        Good morning,
Fantastic photos @Ladybird4, and I’m sure “in the flesh” it was even better.
I, too, liked the zingyness of the purple and orange combination, but also thought the succulents/cacti display looked good, too.
I imagine it was easier to get around than Chelsea always looks (I’ve never been).
Did you see Adam or any of the other gardeners about?

@Blue arbour. I have never been to Chelsea either but there is a possibility I may go next year as my Sis-in-law in Australia has mentioned she may come over to go there. Unfortunately I didn't see Adam Frost - though I have seen him at Tatton (not this year though) before, nor any of the Beechgrove gardeners either. There was just too much to see and the show jumping is only happening this weekend so we weren't lucky enough to catch that either. We got the dog relays instead which were very amusing as there were lots of youngsters with their pets taking it all very seriously. One of the race starts had to be stopped and restarted because the children hadn't quite got the idea of what the relay needed and the whole teams all set off at once - carnage! But hysterical!

Good morning all. I have read back I think but I can't remember everything, sorry. Glad the trip is going well (now, at least!) @Obelix-Vendée and that the birthday surprise was successful @Penny_Forthem . Well done for rescuing the hoglets @Liriodendron - a shame they had to be rescued, but the alternative is worse. I hope the mum is OK. I'd forgotten that the Southport show was on, @Ladybird4 - we have relatives there (OH is there this weekend too) but I always seem to miss it. Looks fun! Good to hear from @Ante1 too - I hope it cools down soon. And I hope @PatE gets some rain.
A level results were good and all Trill's friends who needed certain grades got what they wanted and are off to their first choices. Much partying has been happening! It's been a very busy social/volunteering/garden visiting few days for me too - all great fun but I'm looking forward to spending a bit of time with my own plants this weekend.

I have a small bed which has nods to the pink, purple, orange theme and I was thinking that the orange was “wrong”, but now I’m thinking - more of everything! Quite delicious that display and better IRL no doubt.

                              Enjoy Saturday everyone.

                                Good morning all.

Thank you for showing us your lovely photos @Ladybird4. Glad you enjoyed the Show.

It rained a little in the night, more forecast for this afternoon.

I got up very late. Was reading "The Silent Patient", couldn't put it down.

4m3 logs delivered yesterday so I must go and stack them. Good thing it won't be hot today. More logs coming next week.
