Yawn Yawn Wakey Wakey 2024

I never dead head mine, they have been there about 20 years. they turn into little white fluffs. There is some expansion in the area, but nothing crazy over all these 20 years. Don't ever plan to dead head them.

The farm shop and van didn't happen.
I had lunch; a 2 egg omelette with a bit of lightly fried spring onion in very little oil.
Then we called in Aldi for some basics. Whilst at the checkout, I felt sick. Left hub to pay for it, went to the packing shelf and ...oooops, was copiously sick.
First aider looked after me very well. Taken into their staff room.
Eventually, felt Ok to drive, but came straight home and went to bed. Didn't sleep, but felt better after an hour.
Let's hope tomorrow is a better day.

Hello @Butterfly6, I've never deadheaded my Japanese anemones either. They are absolute thugs, their roots run everywhere - but I love them!

 

@AuntyRach, my happy moment today - I rescued a teenie shrew that was running all over my living room thanks to Cricket - a.k.a. Fang the Fearful! Judicious use of jam jar, washed and waiting to be recycled, and a piece of card. Safe release into the wild down at the bottom of the garden. Cricket had given up and gone upstairs to sleep on the window sill so he was unaware that shrew had gone and when he reappeared he proceeded to sleep near to where he had last encountered the feisty wee beastie. Twonk!

I've had two tree surgeons in this afternoon to quote for work my wife won't let me do.

Second mortgage jobbie @RowlandsCastle? They ask scary money these days. I had the bird cherry in my front garden topped and a large 'past its best' lilac tree removed last year. I had to lie down in a dark room with a wet cloth on my head.

 

Well would you Adam and Eve it! Where are England playing Sri Lanka today? I was catching up on the highlights and as well as drizzle through the day eventually bad light stopped play. They are playing just up the road from me at Old Trafford. I could have told them not to bother!

Regarding the roots run everywhere, of the 20 year patch I have, they still contain themselves well. Can't say that they are becoming a threat to any near-by plants. Should say they play nice. Where they are they are densely there. Size of patch is about 3 foot by 5 foot. I have mine intermixed with my Yellow Wax Bells.

 

Mine aren’t thugs either, in fact I wish they were a bit more robust

Hello everyone! Wind is blowing a hooley out there but at least its dry. Speaking of mischief, I'm off to Bestie's today for a 'put the world to rights' and hot gossip catch up. Whatever you have got planned for today I hope its fun packed.

 

I think I must just have been unlucky in the variant I chose all those years ago @redstar. The white Honorine Joubert I have is well behaved but the pink one is a runner in the 'World Domination' race.
