The pleasure is mine, and no issue at all to copy a message across to GW to help others.

That’s marvellous Mr @PatE I’m sure she’ll manage with a bit of tuition. Have a look at the New Posts and Spy options on the green bar at the top. I’ve found them helpful.

        IMPORTANT

I have created a sticky thread in General/Off-Topic Discussion here - Big 'Green' Storage.... for those moving home

        upload_2024-3-16_9-47-12.png

For anyone that wants to copy anything (photos, screenshots, text/posts etc) from GW purely to save/archive it, please feel free to 'dump' it in that thread in any old random fashion and then at a bit more of a leisurely pace, you can work through to make new threads etc (and we are happy to help where we can with that)

          Hi all

A lovely sunny day, but gardening time is short, watching the rugby will take up most of my day.

                Morning everyone :hotsun:

The sky is blue, the sun is out and I have more plants to cut back. It’ll be nearly time to get our order for the mulch mountain in. So exciting to see my old plant friends emerging from their slumber - makes me smile every time.

its a few pages back, but I definitely have “dock envy” @redstar - its absolutely beautiful

Good morning all, especially @Victoria, @Flumpy, @redstar and @Upsydaisy. I hope the shock of all us new posters won’t upset your enjoyment of this thread?

And good morning to all the familiar names from GW! Such a relief to find so many of you here. It’s felt very weird for the last couple of days, I’d imagine a bit like having just moved house, and waking up to find everything is different.
However, the lovely welcome, and all the offers of help, have made me feel very positive.
Nothing thrilling planned for the day. Rain expected at intervals, but I’ll try to get out in the garden for a couple of short spells. I think OH will be settling in front of the rugby for the afternoon. I’m sure I’ll be spending a while on here too, finding my way through the new system.
                  Have a good weekend.

I’ve actually started to reclaim my garden this morning, after a year of neglect while I’ve been looking after my badly injured son. I’ve attacked Rosa Bonica and some rampaging honeysuckles with secateurs, and cut some Type 3 clems hard back :) It feels good … that’s probably enough for today tho’ … got to watch this back … don’t want it to ping again before I go and collect my car ….

My broad beans are flowering! I sowed them direct in the veg patch in October. Thing is, the wood pigeons are keen on the leaves …, I’d better get something sorted to deter them :dancy:

                            Good morning folks.

I feel so grateful to have this fabulous forum. As part of mindfulness and my life philosophy, it is important to be grateful and also to relish and cherish the small things in life. What I, and many of us from the GW brigade, have realised this week - is that having a fellowship on a gardening forum is actually quite a big thing.

I hope everyone is doing ok and will have something positive or enjoyable going on this weekend.
