Yawn Yawn Wakey Wakey 2024

I didn't contribute to the chatty threads at GW before but dipped in and out to see what was going on! It's reassuring to see many familiar names here and to enjoy some of @Dovefromabove's culinary masterpieces! This continues to be a happy place!

 

Good day
It is cloudy and right on the freezing mark out there and I am glad that last night I brought in the few plants I had in the greenhouse. The weather guessers say that every night for the next 10 days or so will be well below freezing so I'll get my exercise running trays in and out.

I did cut out the cargo slacks pattern and have decided to try to get a matching vest out of the leftover piece. Perhaps I shall stop in at the fabric store on the way back from the dentist, to get a bright lining for the vest to "spring" it up. The main fabric is a milk chocolate brown so I fun yellow print might do nicely.

I also got out the recipe for making Cadbury cream eggs. My youngest granddaughter arrived last night for a visit and I think when Em and I get back, we'll all start making the base for these sweets. I know, sounds silly. Dentist and then on to more sweets! But these girls are very good about cleaning their teeth so it is not a worry to me.

The other day Em and I found a gallairdia blossom, all dried up but intact and decided to break it up onto wet soil. Unbelievably, there are a few seedlings already This must be my lucky year.

Good morning all. 7:50 Am here. Have to get a move on leaving at 8:30 AM. to get to New Jersey to met up with some friends, an hour and half drive. We are going to a car builders workshop and then lunch with them all.
One of our passions is our show car, it introduces us to lots of neat folks as we roam around the USA with it. Not taking it today, in case your thinking that. Anyway, yep, nice to see a bunch of new people. Awesome to hear about your life etc. Anyway, off to shower etc. Have a good day all. Beautiful day here - yaaaay! Probably about 21°C/22°C - great gardening weather but I'll be joining @Punkdoc on the sofa with a cold beer watching the rugby!!

Yesterday was a wonderful day - more or less unbroken sunshine. Not summer (11C), but the sort of day when you know that Summer is on the way. A great day to be alive in the world. Of course the traditional rain has returned today, but I'm still happy about yesterday Have a great day everyone!
