Great pictures @redstar. Thank you for sharing them with us. I've had a busy day so I'll catch up with everyone's news in more detail tomorrow.
      Love the Scissor Sisters @Penny_Forthem.

A very good morning to everyone.

I can now take a leisurely look through all the posts I skimmed through yesterday. With the rain persisting I might have more chance as anything that will distract me from the dreaded HW will be welcomed.

@Tui34, I love the little kitty in your Autumn picture. @Obelix-Vendée I hope you found plenty of patchwork materials and that you have a productive meeting today.
I've been trying out a new cereal this morning - one with dried red fruit in it - along with my banana and blueberries and to be honest I do feel as if I am eating cardboard. Might have to revert to my old faithful but I did fancy a change.

          Good morning all!!

Amazing thunderstorms and heavy rain yesterday afternoon - we did need it though. Today looks like it's going to be a lovely day.

Progress here - painful nights still and stiff mornings, but I can sense that my muscles are getting stronger. Still walking with one crutch. My lovely friend returned to Montpellier yesterday as back to work today. I am on my tod but have plenty of stock in the freezer and we picked most of the tomatoes before the storm. Also made a lovely spicy soup with the first butternut - have a bumper crop this year. Maybe making up for the lack of courgettes!!

I am glad to read all your posts - I hope you have a good Monday.

Good morning @Tui34. Good news about your progress - but don't try anything crazy like HW
@Badly_Maintained, there is an interesting article on Breakfast TV about migraine and I was sorry to read that you had been blighted again yesterday. I hadn't realised that 1 in 7 people suffer from migraine. That is a big number. I love your snazzy car inspection ramps! I smiled at your comment about the liquid cod liver oil we had to take when young but remember also the lovely orange juice we had to take as well, which helped to make the drinking of a teaspoonful of cod liver oil more palatable. I take cod liver oil capsules every day and also 15ml of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil).

              Morning all.

We had a lovely time last night. The singers were suberb. One was going on to Covent Garden for her next event. The cold salmon was perfectly cooked. It poured with rain while we were indoors but, luckily, it stopped when we walked back to the car park.

We were late to bed so I'm still drinking coffee in bed. OH has just got up to move my car as a log delivery is coming.

PS I've just got Wordle in one! One of my starter words came up trumps!

                Morning all.

Rain set in for the day here. Bonus day off for me today but I really do need a HW session :yikes:

Sounds like you are doing really well @Tui34, but as @Ladybird4 said - step away from the HW!

@redstar I hope you are refreshed after your wonderful trip.

@Badly_Maintained - take it from me that the cake offering would have given the staff a massive boost! That was so thoughtful.

Lovely to read of all the baking and cooking going on. Take care all and I hope Monday is kind.

                  Good morning all.

Dull but dry here. After a quick shopping trip and an early lunch, I shall be planting up my remaining bulbs in pots, to place strategically where we can admire them in the spring. And in the evening we have a choir practice in Limerick (for a different, larger choir this time). We have a concert coming up in early October, for which we have to sing three pieces from memory...

I remember cod liver oil too, @Ladybird4 & @Badly_Maintained - but I'm pretty sure we had rose hip syrup rather than orange juice for the Vit.C. We were lucky because my dad grew lots of fruit & veg in the garden so we had a good diet, growing up.

@Liriodendron planting bulbs in pots is exactly what I am going to do today - in the garage out of the rain. My Dad was a great vegetable grower too. I think I got my love of gardening from him.
I forgot to say @Badly_Maintained that you made a most kind gesture taking in those cakes. I have never seen slices of cakes like that. What a lovely idea!
Well done @Busy-Lizzie. I've never done a wordle in one! Two is the lowest for me.
Speaking of baking it is my ex cat sitter Jack's 94th birthday tomorrow and I have baked some chocolate brownies for him this morning. They are one of his favourites.

                          Good afternoon,

Back from my morning natter group. Caught up on news having missed last week.

Lovely photos @redstar. I hope your wrist problem is easily resolved.

Great picture of your dogs again @Penny_Forthem.

Glad to hear things are getting easier for you @Tui34, but as others have said, don’t overdo the HW.

Well, I’ve caught up with all the washing (it’s always a mystery as to why there seems to be so much after a week away ), anyway it’s all washed, just needs ironing now.
It’s still dry here, just about, but very dull and overcast, but still mild. We’ve had rain through the night.
