Hopefully more gardening for me today but I have started my C*******s knitting at night times and when wet weather stops outdoor stuff.

        Good morning @Ladybird4

Still no word from @PatE where the days are getting longer and hopefully a bit warmer.

Good morning @Tui34. Love your picture - especially the red squirrel. Yes, it has been quite a while since we heard from @PatE and also from @redstar. I hope her wrist problem is not too severe.

Hi Lizzie, I am still around.
I had my family from Canada for a flying visit which kept me busy for a few days. It was like military manoeuvres, keeping up with where everyone was, or should be.
I have also been kept busy helping out with mediation over an incident at my croquet club. Unbelievable. All over some one using someone else's cup! Really?!

Good morning. We have sunshine but it's chilly tho will warm to 17C later. Cold nights in store so the ficuses need to comeindoors today and I have spare autuln daffodils to pot up while they wait for OH to mend the well wall so I can plant up the rest of that bed.

He has a lurgy so will be resting today as we have a "déjeuner dansant" tomorrow - tea dance with lunch instead of tea. Can't be too bad as he thinks it's a cold and isn't claiming man flu.

Physio was painful thismorning. I managed to do a serious twinge hingy doing a simple whisk and chassé in waltz last night. Not impressed. Being doing that for years with no bovver.

Have to admit @Goldenlily26 rowing over a cup is a bit boggling.

Hope you all get some sunshine today.

              Afternoon all,
glad you're ok @Goldenlily26 - I'd forgotten about your Canadian visitors. Row over a teacup sounds rather odd.
Sorry you've twinged something @Obelix-Vendée , hope you will be ok for tomorrow. How civilised, a luncheon tea dance.
Had to drive this am to the GP's surgery for a blood test, was running a bit late so not enough time to walk. However, as their car park was full, I had quite a long walk back anyway from the nearest available space. After my test, I decided to walk to the hospital which is opposite the GP's and hopefully enquire if my new hearing aids were ready to collect - big mistake, don't be silly, they take a year to arrive, so next May! Goodness knows where they get them from. Thankfully my hearing's not that bad and I can manage without them. Another long walk back to the car ensued.
OH has been to his last physio session and is now officially signed off with strict instructions to keep up with the exercises.
The surplus apples are steadily being taken from the bottom of the drive which I'm pleased about.
              Have a good evening folks.

                Good evening.

Light rain here this evening, so I made a butternut and sorrel soup. It was so good that I had to sprinkle some on Fizz's dried food. She loved it!! Got leftover for tomorrow and ......

Really sore back today which is unusual for me. Must be the damp weather. Walking is getting better but I am not allowed to life heavy stuff, so gardening is out and I feel really frustrated as I would like to make a start tidying up the vegetable patch. The ground is quite damp so weeding would be easy, but no tugging on the hip. I will be good and obey orders. I don't want to land up back in the clinic. It is a month today since I had the operation.

Wishing you all a pleasant evening.

                  Where can I start, today?
My turn to have a moan at the NHS.
The system for ordering repeat prescriptions, which has worked flawlessly for years, was down. I couldn't book an appointment for a review, or order my script. It meant a trip to the surgery, as they won't accept requests over the phone.
I was informed that 'my health online' had ceased, to be replaced by the NHS app. Nice to be told, eh?
Given details of new app, but to be verified, I had so submit photo ID and then have facial scanner. If I were in England, this need not happen.
So I have spent hours this afternoon chasing this. Why couldn't they migrate our details seamlessly? It's done, but I suspect there may be many a person, who is not as computer literate, giving up on it. I know it needs to be secure, but flippin' difficult?
Whilst in the surgery, I asked about Covid jabs. The health board is sending out appointments.
                  Heaven help us.
                  @Bluejayway might empathise.
Then I cleared the greenhouse of tomatoes and hub brought the sack of Christmas spuds over by sack truck and, rather than him lift them in, I hefted it into the greenhouse. It was rather heavier than I expected. My back is somewhat twingy now.
I hope to sleep well tonight.

Nope, exactly the same process for me here in England. (The app is very good, btw.):)

Good evening everyone. Well for a (most welcome) change, it has been a super day here today. I managed to get a wash load done and dried and I got some more bulbs planted. I only have 20 more to go and they should be done by this weekend with a bit of luck.
I hope that your twinge has eased a bit now @Obelix-Vendée. As you say, things that you used to be able to do without even worrying about them and then suddenly the body decides to get some payback. Grrr!
@Tui34 you have done brilliantly so far - allowing for the uncomfortable nights - so you are as well just being patient for just a little while longer. It would be so upsetting to undo all your good work.
@Penny_Forthem I can sympathise with your situation. I tried - without any success - to get this dratted NHS App but kept getting an error message saying that there must be something wrong at my Surgery end but no explanation as to how to sort this out and I just cannot get hold of anyone at the surgery to give me any assistance. The best they could do was give me an email address to get my repeat prescriptions but they put a full stop instead of a hyphen when they gave it to me so I had to get that sorted and the last time I sent in a request - and allowed the requested 72 hours (it was actually 10 days) before going to the Pharmacy to collect it I was told that they hadn't received anything from my surgery. I felt like going into the middle of a field and screaming!

I am going to sign out for this evening. Hair do day tomorrow at Bestie's - her daughter is a mobile hairdresser. It needs sorting out. I cannot believe how much it has grown since the last time. See you all tomorrow and I hope everyone has a nice night.

Good night @Ladybird4, enjoy your haircut tomorrow, mine looks much better today.

@Penny_Forthem, I'm surprised you haven't had to register on the NHS App before as I was told back in April I think that all surgeries had to cease their own online portals and only use the NHS one.
I too, had tremendous trouble trying to register and do the facial scanning bit and in the end gave up. Asked my Surgery for help and they were brilliant, just gave me an access code which I inputted on the NHS App and I was in. I use it quite a lot as you can read back on all your medical history, consultations, procedures etc. That does depend on whether previous surgeries have been able to download all the patient notes and one of my old ones from the 1980's is completely missing so far. The blood test results from this morning are already online for me to read - if I can decipher them!

Hope both you and Ladybird4 get more help from your Surgeries. I think the App might have a helpline number too?
