The sun is just peeking out now. Breakfast in bed, then planning to go to the seaside for a walk. It rained during the night here, there is a big puddle round the soakaway on the patio, so still too wet for walks at the Donkey Sanctuary. At least it should be dry on the promenade!
I did get out in the garden for an hour yesterday, made my back sore digging out brambles on the bank. There was a little drizzle, but it was so light, I didn’t notice until I got inside and had to dry my hair. Nice to see friends here, I looked in at the old site and it had a feel of a nearly vacated house with most of the furniture gone.
Looking forward to getting to know the regulars on here.

Morning all, just discovered this delightful space! Sitting having my cereal and coffee and trying to decide if it's going to be gardening today....it's been raining overnight but looks a bit brighter now, and very mild. I think the ground's going to be too wet for anything more than an inspection though, so maybe I shall just have to make do with prodding my seedlings on the windowsills and in the greenhouse..... :spinning:

It's persisting down here. Good job I got an afternoon's gardening done yesterday. I'm off to meet a friend for lunch later anyway, so it's good that there's no temptation to go outside and get mucky.

@Nel_Staffs don’t you just love a pleasing sized space

We have had to remove our box plants (losing the battle against blight and moths) so have several pleasing sized spaces to fill. I am thinking camellias, so browsing at Burncoose.

            Morning everyone,
Another wet, grey and breezy day. Need some dry, sunny days. Garden is like a bog at the moment, very squelchy underfoot.
A friend living in Spain said it was 27° yesterday and looks to be the same today. Perhaps she could send some over here.
            Have a good day everyone.

I do @Chicky . Removing the stump has opened up enough space for a shrub and some other goodies in what was a slightly neglected area. Happy days!

Morning everyone, been raining overnight but I can see blue in that sky….. today is all about getting ready to come over to the UK. It is going to be very strange as this will be the first time I don’t have a “home” to go to. Was weird booking hotels in and around what I still think of as home.
I Know it will be hard going to See Ross as his student accommodation is in the same street as mums house. Normally at this time of year I would be going to tidy up her garden! I wonder what state the council has made of it, she was there since 1977 and really loved her garden… I’m sure the greenhouse and hut will be gone, probably the tree covered with the monster clematis too. Oh well all part of the healing process. Lots of neighbors to visit and as I distributed a lot of her plants to them there will still be a connection.

                  Morning all.

Cloudy but mild here in Dordogne.

Bad night because the lawn mowing yesterday has upset my back, which I had already injured a couple of weeks ago when gardening. It had been so much better the last few days. I wanted to plant the roses that are still heeled in in the veg garden. Soon it will be too late. I couldn't finish planting before we went to OH's cottage in Norfolk for Jan and Feb because it rained so much. Parts of the garden are still very squelchy.

Morning all. The distant hills are probably still there, but I can't see them... annoying drizzle. But I can get some more seeds sown in the comfort of my (newly tidied!) shed.

Morning All. I was hoping to get a couple of plants planted today, but the weather says no .
I wish the weather and work commitments would work togeather once in a while.
Not to worry..... at least the plants will be happier in their pots on my patio rather than outside the supermarket,

Oh dear @Busy-Lizzie didn’t you see that @Punkdoc had given you a sick note for a couple of days to rest your back after the driving? Hope it’s easier soon.

Enjoying the car so far @Liriodendron … the garage are going to replace the cam belt in a few weeks as part of the deal … so they’ll sort any niggles out then. They’re a ‘proper’ local garage :)

Weve got a pile of ‘stuff’ in the hallway that needs to go in the boot … there’s a boot liner and a special holder for all the bits and bobs we need in a car … tyre pump, de-icer, scraper, triangle etc … I’ll go through it this morning to make sure we’re not putting rubbish back in there …

                              Morning all,

Wet and dreary here too, at the moment. Not really gardening weather again.
Just having breakfast before deciding what to do next.

Question for you - where is the top button, I can’t see it for love nor money. I don’t know if it lurks in different places on different devices, mine is an iPad.

                              Have a good day.
