Good morning everybody. Can there ever be anything nicer than the first hot drink of the day - be it tea or coffee? My cold seems to be subsiding today which is a good thing. There was a stunning picture of the aurora over Wales last night and I am sorry that it wasn't clear my way. It was raining. One day, I live in hope, I will get to see this wonderful natural light display.

The sun is shining so bedding and towels are in the wasing machine.

Wordle says I guessed it in one today - but I didn't - it took 5 goes!

Fibre men are coming today to drill a hole in the cottage wall and hopefully connect it. We will have to change our passwords. I don't know what happens to the extenders.

 

Morning everyone, the AGM was okay yesterday, reasonably well attended (for us) but still barely one third of the members. Yes @Penny_Forthem I have done my stint on the committee in the past so I know it's a thankless task. Never again. We are in the unusual situation that the Council gave us all long leases about 10 years ago so plots in this borough are all self managed, some are run better than others, ours not particularly well, but as I said trying to get people involved is an uphill struggle.
Anyway it's dry for now so must get on.

@Busy-Lizzie, if this is a new service + router you will get a WiFi password with the router and any devices will have to be reconnected to the new router using the new password.

 

Yes, I know, @Ladybird4. I don't know what to do with WiFi extenders and security cameras but OH has now told me that he knows. We'll have to do it again for my French house, I had an email from Orange to say fibre is now available.

 

We have fibre! It's really fast. The box is in the sitting room which is some way from the dining room where my laptop is. It's a long cottage because of extensions. With the old Internet I had to have an extender. Now we don't need extenders and it works faster than it did.

 

Hoorah @Busy-Lizzie. You will really see a difference with the faster speed. Will you be able to replant your brunnera?

 

Yes, I think so. It's looking quite nice in the pot at the moment.

To get to the apartment from the car, it's 9 steps down, 71 steps up, 10 steps down and 2 steps up.

 

Did a trip into Edinburgh today. Weather was okay, but didn't manage to spend any time in the castle.
