Hailes Castle, which was closed for maintenance, although I could still get photos.

 

I also got to Tantallon Castle - which was definitely open.
I took over 50 photos, so here are just a few.

 

There were several more to see, but the driver wanted lunch - and to get back before dark.

 

I may not be able to post tomorrow as County Broadband are doing something to the new fibre. My phone might work with 4G.

 

Good evening all, we've had a good day . We began with a piano recital in the Elgar rooms at the Royal Albert Hall. We then walked to Kensington Palace and decided to go in and take a tour round. There was a special exhibition on some of the more ordinary people who have worked there.
The weather was much cooler and duller than forecast, so an indoor visit was best. We needed to walk to another tube station anyway as South Kensington was exit only from the Picadilly line as there were yet more works going on. A good day all round.

Good Morning all.

I hope you are doing ok @redstar and everything is straightforward and not too uncomfortable.

Chilly and rainy here. Off to my meetings now, then off the rest of week. It’s not going to be great weather wise so I have a list of house jobs including tidying my spare room, which is euphemistically referred to as a study/craft room but it is basically a coat store and ironing area.

It's been raining.

The tree man is booked to come to prune the huge laurel tree. It's very lopsided as most of the growth is on our NDN who died's side. She liked the shade for her tortoises. Her granddaughter is happy for us to prune it before they sell the cottage. I hope he doesn't cancel because of the weather as we are going on the cruise up the Danube on Thursday.

I don't venture onto this thread very often, but we (me and hubby looking over my shoulder) are enjoying seeing these castles @RowlandsCastle. Lovely photos, lovely castles and scenery. And looks like good weather too.

 

Does anyone, like me, think that the second picture down in this batch of Tantallon Castle from @RowlandsCastle resembles a giant key?
