Sunday morning, 9:30 AM here. Still sipping my coffee.
Lovely visit with friends yesterday, at a meet up in New Jersey. And lunch was wonderful at a new restaurant for us selected by them, good choice. We will be doing another meet up next Sunday in Oaks, PA at a car show. Neither of us is bringing our cars. The other's couples car is being striped down and new paint and interior being done. He's working toward doing some indoor shows with his car.
Later today a met up with another friend at a local pub to celebrate St. Patricks Day, only 5 min drive from home. Putting a whole chicken in oven before leaving, so that will be done when I get back. Have the same brother-in-law visiting later. So a roasted chicken for dinner will be had.

A little gloomy out today. Have a grand Sunday all. And cheers. Bahama Martini.jpg

      Good afternoon,

Thank you to all of you who advised me where to find the top button. I’ve spotted it now - it’s quite hard to spot isn’t it?

Hope everyone is having a pleasant afternoon. After a very wet start here, it brightened up nicely but now there are some more black clouds building up, so we may have yet more of the wet stuff. It’s very mild though and I’ve been watching the birds busy nest building in our hedge and taking the opportunity to sun themselves a bit when the sun shone.

We were very lucky with the weather this morning! We drove down to Sidmouth, and had a wonderful walk along the Byes, a dedicated area of parkland along the banks of the River Sid. The sun was out for most of the time, plus lots of daffodils, celandine and plenty of blossom. Beautiful fresh green leaves on the weeping willows. We spent nearly two hours out, walking interspersed with relaxing on some of the benches, enjoying the view. The river was very full, and rushing along noisily. We have seen otters in there on a couple of occasions, but didn’t see any today. Now relaxing after Sunday dinner. No energy for any gardening this afternoon, I’ll finish off my alcohol free beer, with my feet up, instead!
That cocktail looks good, @redstar! Just looked up where Chester County is, my geography of the Eastern states is pretty minimal.

Golly, so many posts! I shall have to write my 'Hello' before I go out in the garden!

It has been dry and sunshiney all day!!!! Wonders will never cease, so got a lot done, pruning, cutting back, weeding, digging up and replanting snowdrop clumps. Now relaxing with a cuppa, tired but happy!
To those who PM'd me on old GW, I think now it was my mistake when replying, didn't hit the right button, so apologies all round.

Hello all. Lovely dry sunny day here after a wet start I got loads done in the garden and my assorted children all enjoyed the St Patrick’s Day parade in Birmingham. Just relaxing now with a large glass of wine.

I’ll keep my “cheerful” mood setting for now, but soon the Sunday blues will kick in. Still can’t shake that ‘back to school’ feeling after all these years. I’ve been to see MIL and the dog, so I’ve ‘done’ his eyes (clean/brush the tear stains away) and had my reward of homemade coffee cake. Chicken dinner is on now, so I’ll potter on here and maybe do some logic puzzles until the beep sounds.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend. Reading around, reports of better weather and garden pursuits are abundant.

Evening @Debs64 you were lucky to have some sunshine and get out in the garden. It's been raining here most of the day. Glad your children enjoyed their day out. Have a lovely evening and enjoy your wine

Thanks @Star gaze Lily as you know work isn’t much fun at the moment so precious time in the garden is extra special and I feel set up ready for a day of being shouted at tomorrow.
My ex mother in law really enjoyed the parade, she is Irish so it’s extra special for her and a lovely treat for her to be out and about. So pleased they had sunshine ☀️

I’ve noticed a funny thing. I have a shortcut on iPad for this site and initially the box that showed up was pink….today it has changed colour to blue with the words XENFORO written across it. Wonder why that’s happened?
@Debs, good to read that you’ve been able to do some gardening and bet the children loved the parade. Reminds me of when my home town used to have them every year, with all sorts of different floats driving past. Took a couple of hours for everything to go past and we all loved it. Some paraders were very inventive with their floats. Don’t see anything like that here now.

Do hope you have a peaceful day tomorrow at work, but unfortunately Mondays are probably not that great. Hope things turn out OK for you, everything seems so up in the air.
Glad your ex MIL enjoyed the day too.
