    Good Morning all.

I hope all the ailments we have between us will disappear ready for the weekend.

The clocks change on the weekend (U.K.) which always unsettles me to think of the dark months ahead. This is where some positive thinking is required… Let’s enjoy the Autumn colours while they are here and then I’m thinking ahead about cosy evenings with candles and comfort food, time to bring out the comfy jumpers and bedding, and if we can’t get into the garden then do a painting, jigsaw, craft, or plan our seeds for next year.

      Hello everyone.

I hope @Busy-Lizzie and @AuntyRach are both feeling much better today and anyone esle with post-op or post-jab or other lurgies.

Sunny here now but a misty start so more patch admin for me - how hard can it be to get 3 admins to agree on silk ribbons for embroidery? Unbelieveable!

OH has disappeared to play golf in the sun with his pals - he and his partner need to practise before the winter cup competition starts. When he gets back we'll be moving my 40 year ol rubber plant into the garage so I can freshen up his compost.

I've found a home for him and benjamina now they're too big for our home. They're going to council offices in Luçon where I have a gardening friend who heads up their gardening teams. Too big for our cars so they're coming tomorrow in a wee truck to fetch them.
      Ficus benjamina.jpg Ficus elastica R.jpg
The rubber is multi stemmed and had been pruned and I have 2 cuttings growing well. Hasn't worked with benjamina tho.

OK, quick tour of nursery and then sewing for me - hem and button holes for my new blouse. Still too soggy for gardening.

Magnificent looking plants there @Obelix-Vendée. A shame you have to let them go, but they do get big, don’t they?

          Hello all.

We are now back in Norfolk. We are both exhausted. OH has caught a cold and I have had a bit of a relapse. We slept very badly and had to get up at 5.30am. I couldn't manage breakfast and OH is coughing quite a lot. The journey back was fairly horrible.

Despite all that we enjoyed the cruise, learnt a lot and saw some beautiful buildings and countryside. We were well looked after on the ship and the meals were very good. @Ergates you don't have to sit with other people in the dining room, there are tables for 2 to 6 people. We met some nice people too.

Good Afternoon, just back from a stint at Capel Manor. Lovely sunny day but unfortunately the spot where I was working was mostly in the shade. Yesterday we were at the National Theatre on the Southbank, for a matinee of Shakespeare Coriolanus (so we missed a sunny afternoon then too). It's one of his lesser known plays we'd not seen before, cheap tickets so well worth it.
@Ergates I agree with Busy-Lizzie, the trips we've been on, there's a huge choice of food, almost too much, and even if you do sit with others it's a nice way to meet other people, we've found that most people on these types of trip are very like minded, they are certainly not the, "tea like mum makes" sort you can get on the Costas. As Lizzie says you don't have to sit with others if you really don't want to, but we think it's part of the fun.

I was going to post some pics of Autumn colours, but the wind and rain has defoliated most of the Acers already.

Rather you than me @Allotment Boy. I did Corialanus for A level and it was less than thrilling, even when we went to see it at Stratford. Hamlet was the other play and we went to see a young Tom Courtenay play Hamlet in Manchester. I don't remmebr him but John Nettles played Laertes.

Crikey, that was a long time ago!

I spent most of the day at a London hospital today. Picked up from home just after 5am!!
I dislike the busyness of London, and it was so good to return to this. And a chance to get into relaxed mode.

I found these pictures from exactly a year ago. These are normally green early in the year.

@Obelix-Vendée I understand that Corelananus was written about the same time as Anthony and Cleopatra. I can see why you were not keen on it, but it was interesting to see one of his plays that we hadn't seen before, it was a good production.
