I hope your OH is feeling fine after his vaccinations @Busy-Lizzie. I go for my covid one on Monday. When I had my flu jab a fortnight ago and I told the nurse that I thought I was getting a cold she did advise me that I may feel worse after it. I have never stopped coughing since then!
@Goldenlily26, I would have loved to see all those dogs thoroughly enjoying themselves dashing about. Super picture of Miss Maize there @Penny_Forthem.

      Good morning,

It feels a bit chillier this morning but at least it’s not foggy today.
Had a lovely catch up with friends yesterday lunch time. We try to meet up a couple of times in the year, but sometimes life gets in the way, but we managed it for yesterday. We plan to meet nearer Xmas all being well.

That’s a very good sum raised for church funds @Ladybird4 and it sounds as if a good evening was had by all.

A gorgeous picture of Miss Maize @Penny_Forthem.

I hope everyone has a good Saturday and those of you under the weather soon feel better.

          Morning all.

I don't think OH should have had his jabs yesterday. He is bunged up and coughing a lot. I'm afraid I moved to the guest bedroom.

I'm going to the monthly Farmers' Market in the village hall.

I'm glad your Quiz and Hotpot was a success, @Ladybird4. I always enjoy those sorts of events. I used to help organise them for church charities in France.

The sun is up, washing is on and I’m feeling better today

Sounds like you are feeling better @Busy-Lizzie, and hope your husband recovers swiftly.

That’s a brilliant result from the hotpot event @Ladybird4.

Have a lovely Saturday all posters and readers.

Feeling gutted. Rob is booked into the vet for Monday to have his eye removed. It has ruptured so needs sorting ASAP. The vet phoned me last night to let me know, she sent current pics to the opthalmic vet who agree with the prognosis. I know dogs manage well with one eye, Rob already is, but it is difficult to hear news like that.

@Goldenlily26, I was so very sorry to hear that news about poor Rob and you must be feeling dreadfully upset by it all. You did have concerns about the eye and I think the best thing has been decided for you. I'm sure Rob will prove a resilient little character and once he gets through the op you won't have to keep treating his eye as before. Chin up - we are all I'm sure sending positive thoughts your way x

Maybe it's a gadget to attach to a table (or something similar) to keep your knitting wool untangled? Or is the pouch a red herring?:help:

@RowlandsCastle I wonder it it could be something like GH/shed gutter supports. Not a clue really but knowing your determination to crack the keybox code I'm sure you will eventually work it out.

Thank you. It makes sense. An item in the museum stores, which we couldn't identify.

                            Morning everybody,

Glad your evening do was a great success @Ladybird4 and what a good sum to raise for the church funds.

Hope your OH recovers soon @Busy-Lizzie, I must say I'm surprised they let him have jabs if he already had a cold, I don't think I would have gone.

@RowlandsCastle, No idea what they are for, the top parts are similar to the clips you used to have for clipping charts to drawing boards. I think we've got some somewhere my Dad used for his board. Hanging skeins for wool perhaps? (I tipped the laptop upside down!)

So sorry to hear about Rob @Goldenlily26, that's just awful.

Glad you're feeling better @AuntyRach, unusual for you to be ill.

It's another lovely sunny day and as I feel better too, we might go out for the day. No idea where but I fancy seeing the sea.

                                Good afternoon ladies & gentlemen.

A sunny and mild morning, but extremely heavy dew and fairly humid too. Hung the washing out before dawn to try my luck anyway.

Sad news about Rob @Goldenlily26 . My best wishes to both him and you at this worrying turn of events.

Glad to hear that you are both feeling better today @AuntyRach & @lizzie27 .

Thank-you for the beautiful photo of Miss Maize @Penny_Forthem .

Very pleased to hear that your Quiz & Hotpot evening went so well and you enjoyed it so much @Ladybird4 .

Have you ever wished that pencils were more robust? Well if you have then get yourself a carpenter's pencil. They are available from builders' merchants, hardware shops and, of course, online. The only real disadvantage is that they can't be sharpened with an ordinary pencil sharpener (special ones are available, or you could just use a penknife).

Best wishes to all as always.
