Well the weather continued grey damp and dreary so we didn’t go to the coast … but we did go for a bit of a drive around in the car … down to Wymondham, back along the A11 and around the ring road to the top of Mousehold Heath (the site of Kett’s Rebellion) and back through the city centre, so we did a bit of most types of driving, and are very pleased with it
Back here for Barnsley chops, cauliflower in Bechamel and ‘a version of’ fondant potatoes with mint jelly. Now we’re on the sofa and our feet are up …

Today is St Gertrude of Nivelles Day - Patron saint of cats and gardeners. My sister sent me this info - maybe trying to say I am a gardening cat lady. She knows me well.

 

@Ergates , Chester County, PA USA, I am about 20 mins from the Delaware boarder going east a bit. 20 mins from the Maryland boarder going west a bit. about 2 hours from the New Jersey shoreline, about 2 hours from New York City. That is driving 60 miles an hour no traffic much. My little town is called Parkesburg, PA. It has rolling hills, horse country and Amish country. Large ranches, and farm lands. The town itself could use some cuteness. There are two streets where that could happen, but its just homey, I guess, does not draw attention. Thanks for looking.

I'm not that great with geography of the USA @redstar, but your explanation of where you are is helpful . Your country is so big in comparison to the UK.

 

@redstar the countryside near you sounds lovely.

I know that area that @Dovefromabove mentioned, OH's cottage is a bit further south of there.

We've had a quiet evening as usual watching TV.

 

@redstar I lived in New Jersey for a couple of years when I was 10/12 - a place called Morristown. We went back for a holiday about 10 years ago and took my girls to see where I went to school and where I used to live. We then drove through PA to get to Washington DC - went through Amish country, but the only place name I can remember was Intercourse. Funny how that one sticks in the mind . So I might have driven past you

Hope everyone’s had a restful night. It’s a beautiful morning … wall to wall blue skies here in Norfolk … typically OH has to work today so we won’t be going to the coast … do you think it’ll be this sunny tomorrow?
