Good evening all. I came home half an hour ago, and I'm exhausted. After dinner a nd hot cup of tea I'll go straight to bed. Crowd in almost every shop was unbelievable. It sounds crazy, but in some shops already removing Christmas inventory, and preparing for spring. Day was warm and a bit grey, but from tomorrow rain and wind, snow in the hills.
@Tui34, storm is forecasted for tomorrow afternoon, so you might see wind in the waves.

 

Hello all. Pleased to read that the little dog has been returned to its owner @Obelix-Vendée and I'm sure your floors will be breathing a sigh of relief. A happy ending to that little tale.
@lizzie27 it was reassuring to read about the helpful staff in M&S. I do have to say that I have always found them helpful in the Food Hall I visit and always so very pleasant. @Busy-Lizzie, your family sounds like mine number wise. When we get together it is a a marathon session. It is my oldest great nephew's birthday today. He is 17 and he is the best hugger in the world.
I did receive some rather sad news today. The chap who was my second in department let me know that his wife has passed away. Apparently she had pulmonary fibrosis and just went downhill rapidly. It knocked me for six. I am pleased that he has sought counselling to help him come to terms with her loss.

 

Hi @Ante1, hope your Mum got everything she wanted. Feet up and enjoy your evening. I meant to say that your picture of the sea is beautiful and I also missed admiring the artistic skill of @Penny_Forthem. I would be delighted if I got a wonderful doggy portrait like that. Not sure Cricket would be best pleased though!

 

There is a special Sewing Bee on tonight so I will be riveted to that. I am signing out now and I'll see you all tomorrow before I head out for my Doctor's appointment.

Evening everyone - you’ve all been busy again!

I’m glad to read that the little dog has been reunited with its owner.

I did an afternoon shift today - quite nice having a leisurely morning, then popped to see Dad before going in. I did get soaked with freezing cold rain walking in though.

I’m off tomorrow so I’ll pick up my food shop (click n collect) and nip into to Diddly-Dee (if it’s not too rammed) just for a few bits and bobs.

If anyone fancies a bit of cheer - I recommend the ‘Home Of The Year’ Christmas specials - The Wales one is on now (so will be on iPlayer after) and the Scotland one is already on there.

Good morning all. What a "beautiful" morning, wind and rain which can later pass to snow. Luckily, my school is only 200m from my house. Still tired, but I don't mind, it's the last school da for this year.

A very good morning @Ante1 and all due to arrive later. Weather forecast sounds dire for the next few days. I do hope that anyone who is driving any distance checks their local forecast as it could be very difficult in some areas.
Glad you got all you needed on your shopping trip @Ante1. I ended up NOT watching sewing bee as it was a celebrity edition - I only knew one of the celebrities. I was busy knitting a jumper for myself. Is today your last school day of the year @Ante1?

Sunny and bright - cold and windy and we are in for a cold but sunny weekend!! A quick pop in this morning - to wish you all a pleasant Friday. Off to town to the bun fight!!

 

Just had a phone call from my surgery - the Doc I was supposed to be seeing has had to go home sick so my appointment has been moved to 11:40. I am collecting up dead batteries to drop off in Aldi whilst I'm in the village. I won't be able to settle to doing much else.

 

Morning all. Off to clean the church in a few minutes; it'll be very cold, since we only use it once a month. The other Sundays the service is in the "mother" church (actually the newer one, built in the 1840s, as opposed to this one which dates from the 10th century). I'll be wearing my thermals...

 

Morning everybody, a bit chilly today. I've got my thermals on @Liriodendron and I'm inside with the central heating on full blast! Don't envy you in a 10th C church at all.

A quiet day here, hopefully. OH has gone into town for a meet-up with his old colleagues. I dare say a few pints will be consumed along the way. I've put some washing on and will make up the guest bedroom ready for my daughter on Monday. I also have a prescription to pick up this afternoon which is a pain as we're forecast heavy rain later. Fingers crossed it waits until I'm back.

It's too cold to garden and there's not much to do outside anyway.

Good afternoon,

It’s dull and chilly here today, with light rain forecast for later this afternoon.

I’ve been to the hairdressers and fortunately it remained dry there and back - I like to walk there as it isn’t very far away, about a 10 minute walk.

I’ve got a few chores to get on with once I’ve posted here, then it’s feet up time.

 

I survived C’mas food shop thanks to a combo of ‘click n collect’ and a swift lap of Diddly/Dee with no queue at the self scan! It looked very busy inside the other SM and the roads were busy for mid afternoon. The dates on a few things aren’t amazing but that is a fair swap for not going round with trolley. I hope anyone else doing shopping today survives too.

It’s miserable weather here so once my tumble drier has finished (it’s in garage so I have to nip outside) then it’s feet-up Friday for me too.

 

Good evening all. It was an awful day, not only the weather. At lest rain stopped. A tragical incident happened in one primary school in Zagreb. Mentally ill person attacked little children and teacher with a knife, and one child died. Tomorrow will be national day of mourning. This is the first time ever that something like that happened here, so we are all in shock.
