        Morning all.

I'm not as early as those before, it's an hour later in France, 8.10am.

Happy birthday to your sons @Debs64

Enjoy your day with Bestie @Ladybird4

I will be gardening again this afternoon. Planted 2 more roses, just 3 left to plant, 2 shrubs and some shade plants. My back is getting much better.

Hello there @Busy-Lizzie. That is certainly good news about your back - just don't go crazy now and think you can go flat out in your garden. Slow and steady could be the order of the afternoon!

          Good morning all

We had two decent days of sun and today it promises to be good too. It is a rare occurrence in Luxembourg. We have fewer sunny days than London.
I put the sun to good use and worked a lot in the garden, OH has helped lift heavy stuff and decided to repaint the garden bench, what a star.

I am sure that we have overwhelmed the GC posters here, I also feel that the reason for not posting has been one of extra kindness perhaps: let them chatter away for a while to find themselves again and then we will show who chatter the hardest!
Please do GC "oldies"! we love to hear from you. :grphg:

            Hi all

Woken by squabbling on the pond, another male has joined the happy couple and it is getting violent.
It is dry so hopefully Some gardening will be taking place.

            Have a good one.

Have fun with your Bestie @Ladybird4 - by this evening I expect all world problems to be solved :)

Happy Birthday to your sons @Debs64 - this is always the first day of spring in my book too - my favourite aunt’s bday.

Off volunteer gardening today. I work every Thursday in West Dean Garden near Chichester - a beautiful garden, with the loveliest gardeners. I learn so much there, and have a great time too. No rain today, so who knows what will be in store.

              Good morning all :coffee1:

Hope your sons have a marvellous birthday @Debs64 :)

Talking of sons … I’ve slept late (for me) having ‘stayed up’ to listen to my son at the BBC’s iconic Maida Vale studios ‘doing the sound’ for a band he works with (Modern English) who were broadcasting live on 6Music last night. For folk who don’t know me, this is a really special thing because in Feb of last year he was blown up in a gas explosion and received 40% 4th degree burns and was in Broomfield Burns ICU, in a coma on life support for over 5 weeks, and has huge areas of skin grafts including all over his hands and arms which require ongoing treatment. His determination and the care and skill of the medical team are remarkable.
The support and tangible generosity of so many people on the GW forum was amazing … I don’t know how I’d have coped without them …. so, for our new friends in Gardeners Corner, you’ll see why the closure of the GW forum has been a bit of a wrench! :thud:

However when one door shuts another one opens … and here we are … with tge opportunity to make even more friends :spinning:

                Good morning to you all!!

Very grey and dismal again today. Not good for arthritic hands, knees and hips. Ouch!!

Still pulling weeds but had coffee yesterday with a friend who gave me some plants: Indian coriander, lemon balm and sorrel. So I prepared a bed with a dump of soil with horse manure from my vegetable garden and popped them in. They are in the shadiest coolest part of the garden as the Mediterranean climate doesn't really suit sorrel.

For those used to a little gardening/weather expression, I'd like to continue to put them up, if that's all right with the GC members.

Here is today's: Si tu veux oignons, seigle, petits-pois, sème-les vers la Saint Benoit!!

I planted white and red salad-onion plants end of last month. They seem to be enjoying themselves!!

                Have an enjoyable day.

Just realised it's the 21st March so it's my Daughter 1's birthday too! Keep thinking it's Saturday as that's when I'm going to see her.

Though with 4 children and 14 grandchildren it can get confusing :smile:

                        Good morning all,

I did an hour's digging/weeding early this morning and then walked to the village (one mile) to buy a fresh loaf of bread at the village bakers. I should have taken a carrier bag as carrying a hot loaf of bread in just a paper bag and trying not to squash it isn't as easy as it sounds!

The forecast is dry so more gardening to get down with intervals of :recliner: and :coffee:

Wow! Your son has done incredibly well to be able to be playing at Maida Vale having been in a coma only a year ago.

Most of the GC gang know of my history (which I am happy to expand on in full if folks want to know) but I was in a coma in 2018 and know how difficult a path it is that your son is on. Hopefully he will manage to come home with a recording of his performance for you to keep.
