good morning all, as per usual I had a bad nights' sleep. There is a silver lining though because I crept outside at around 5 and I saw two willow tits eating insects off the mirabelle tree. They are a rare sight here, so I am quite pleased with myself for that.

It's Friday morning, I have aqua gym class so I will be off soon to do that.
I wish all of you something good to cheer you up. I hope it is big but sometime small is more effective.

The sea air yesterday did me the world of good and I slept like a log. We’ll pop out to the farm shop later on for some meat and veg etc for the weekend … but otherwise nothing is planned …

Morning everyone. Grey and dull here in the Welsh hills and I think there will be rain later, a lot colder for the weekend too.
Having read back over the last few pages I am full of admiration for those of you who have successfully overcome various adversities, large or small. It just goes to show that none of us know exactly what goes on in the 'lives' behind the 'user' names.
Well the weekend is almost upon us my friends - enjoy, whatever you have planned.

 

Good morning from Devon! Rather dull here, but it’s supposed to brighten up later. Big reason to be cheerful today, I am off to spend the weekend with my grandsons ( and their parents!) I’ll finish my packing after breakfast, (travelling light is so much harder than just filling a suitcase) and then OH will drop me at the station. It is forecast to be cold tomorrow, and as I will be standing around watching small boys running around in the mud, I’ll need to make sure I have enough layers to be comfortable.
Mustn’t forget my iPad charger!

 

@Ergates, what a super weekend to look forward to. Definitely need the warmish gear as I heard on the weather forecast that it is going to be a cold Saturday. Are the grandsons footballers?

The forecast looks good and I'm not working today so I might get some gardening done. Mulching is on the list, and sorting through the seed tin to see what I want to sow. Must get my act together and go to the shops first though - we need veggies & fruit, and my prescription should be ready to collect.

 

Morning all from Cornwall. Yesterday was bliss. A lovely beach walk, sunny, dry!, and mild. I bought fish and chips for lunch so no cooking last night. Dog and I spent the afternoon recovering.
Fingers crossed the Spring Equinox storms do not denude my pear tree, there are a lot of flower buds forming.

Rather grey and cold here, not feeling inspired, but the g/h is full and things need moving on.
I am in the bad books again, came down this morning to find a slug trail on the lounge carpet, must be from the Cannas that I start off in there.
