Morning all (just about!). Forecast is fine (although chilly) so I might get the grass cut later.

Good morning/ afternoon all! I'ts warm in the sun but the wind is chilly, not too inviting for gardening. I keep looking out of the window at all the daffodils that need deadheading but can't seem to find the energy to do it.
We have similar problems with our fosse @Busy-Lizzie, we are on heavy clay with a high water table, it's a proverbial pain in the .......!
I hope your lunch goes well @Dordogne Damsel, sorry to hear you have not been well.
Have a good day all, will catch up with you all later.

@Ergates , regarding pottery barn, I am blessed the one I go to is 20 mins from me and its the outlet, so everything is between 40% to 60% off. Even with the discount I think it is high $$, but the quality is nice, so a few items from there at the airbnb is nice to have. I really only look for bed linens, and towels.

        Good afternoon all.

Yes. It's cold here too - a drastic drop in temperature and we have an even stronger wind than yesterday sweeping down on us. Sort of sunny - at intervals.

I did half an hour scratching around in the garden this morning, but it was so unpleasant, I gave up. Came in and did some real estate porn then took the dog for her run. I wobbled lots on my bike in this wind - very strong on the open ground.

Very annoying for you @Ante1 to have lost those plants. They were probably nearly ready to plant out too. I hope you can resow although I imagine you have other things to do that resow brassicas!!

Your lunch will be welcomed @Dordogne Damsel I'm sure. My Mediterranean husband's favourite was meat pie and steamed ginger pudding with hot runny custard!!

It sounds like an inside day for many of you this afternoon! So enjoy the rest of the day and go easy on the rosé!!

Sunday, chilly 29 degrees here. 8Am.
Leaving at some point this morning for a trip to a convention center about an hour away, "car show". Meeting up with friends, then lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory in King of Prussia.
Well, off to do whatever. Take care all.

          Good afternoon all

Typical March weather. Very chilly, not sure I want to go out at a "real feel" of minus 3. Spent a long time on the phone with youngest who is having a tough job looking for errm.. one. He says that for every job there are hundreds of applications and this is in London. He has a few hours lecturing at a university but not enough to keep himself and no contributions paid towards his pension. Difficult. Does not want to come back here because of girlfriend, understandable of course.
          Children: who'd have them?

I am glad to see you @Dordogne Damsel, I feared you lost as some point, I know you are very busy. Good to know that aside from the lurgy (it is going around) things are on the up. Well done.

Hello @liliana nice to meet you.
@redstar I would be very happy with 29 degrees, don't know why you are complaining:hapydancsmil:
Have a nice Sunday afternoon all

Job hunting in the UK, especially London, is a lottery. What's he after?

Some of the garden is OK, but the other half needs a lot of work. I have very bad Fibromyalgia and Arthritis, so some jobs are impossible. I have a young man coming over on April 13th to clear the back of the garden so that l have a large vegetable plot.

                Good evening

@thank you for asking Loofah, He is after a job in global market research, basically what he is teaching at the moment, but he is better at numbers and stats than people. Speaks 2 languages fluently and another 3 at B1/B2 level.

Steak and bake with PSB and a nice bottle of Chianti.
A week of rain to look forward to, again.

Hooray! I’ve actually finished reading back. lovely to read everyone’s news and history. I can’t think where to start.

Let’s see. I’m in my 80s and not physically into much gardening anymore, but still interested in what people are doing in their gardens.

im not very computer, literate, i so need Hubby’s advice fairly often. He is being treated for Prostate ca. , but is going ok.

We are on the south east of NSW, Australia.

I’ll try to keep up with you all.
