Just back from the osteopath, post-torture....er...treatment. Turns out it's rotator cuff tendinitis and I have exercises to do. Sore now!

Happy anniversary to both @Ergates and @KayJ. Enjoy your day.

The rain is just about holding off here at the moment. I just want it to stay dry a bit longer as I’ve washed a counterpane and at the moment it’s blowing nicely on the line.

Oh, I hope they haven't felt pushed out, @redstar. It would be sad if they stopped joining in.

 

That’s a shame @redstar … I did ask which thread we should go to for daily chat and was pointed here … really didn’t want to push anyone out … if we’d started a new thread that would’ve seemed as if we were trying to be separate which is totally wrong … we wanted to make new gardening friends as well as chat with old ones.

 

It would be very sad if that is happening. What can be done to bring people together?

 

As Shiney says people have various reasons- I took a break for several reasons but pop in and out
to see how members are getting on. I am pleased to see how well the forum is being moderated to keep out the idiots and trouble makers who have nothing to do with their time which is very sad - I have been very involved with looking after our grandson who is now 9 which has been wonderful and filled our days to the full. Can't see properly now and waiting for both cataracts to be done. Not looking forward to it!

 

To all. My observations of the prior GC not showing up is neither negative or positive. its just an observation. Find it interesting, and have no thoughts on their reasoning either way. We all have unique personalities.
I know I am the type of person that when I walk into a party that I don't know anyone I find a seat and chat away. My husband will say, you'd just talk with anyone. Yep, but, you never know that "anyone" might have a gem of thought, or a unique slat on a subject. When I was working, and the company would send us off to some other division for training, everyone in the office sat together, me, I found a spot with new folks, hey I can sit the regulars all the time.

So new folks, please do not be saddened at all. It is what it is, can't change city hall.

Afternoon folks, thank you all so much for your very kind wishes for my brother. I couldn't post again yesterday evening as too distressed, we'd been told by the nurse that he was unlikely to survive the night, so his stepchildren and elder brother did a late night dash. Guess what, he had a peaceful night (the oxygen helping him to breathe), woke up, asked for a cuppa, recognised everybody, then ate a weetabix for breakfast !! (first food for 2 days). So, so relieved, although the underlying agony of just waiting goes on, as it does for @PatE and any others who are in the same sad situation, my sympathies.

On a more cheerful note, congratulations to @Ergates and @KayJ on their wedding anniversaries.

We enjoyed yesterday's left over cakes for lunch but 0h, my waistline! What with Hot Cross Buns on Friday, then Easter Eggs. a strict diet will have to be followed next week.

Just looked up and saw sunshine, so thought goody, I'll get out in the garden quick, looked again and it's tipping it down in the sunshine. Really doesn't know whether it's coming or going.

 

Back to what I said earlier about "Me" chatting it up with strangers. By now most of you know we have a show car and we go to lots of shows with it. Thus parking the car next to other cars, always meeting new folks. So my husband will say to me, you just talk to anyone don't you (not being supportive) I said back to him, Yep----that "anyone" that I chatted up in Vermont, the car builder, bought $3,400 dollars of car parts from you, so you husband OWE me a certain percentage of my sales ability. That shuts him up. He has no clue.
