Congratulations to @KayJ! The M and S ( or Waitrose) dine in special is our usual go-to for celebrations, but I am making OH’s favourite chicken and bacon panini for dinner later! Hope you get to celebrate your 50th next year. Ours, and my 70th birthday, fell in the middle of covid, so we missed out there.

@PatE, re your sister, and further to @redstar’s observation, any infection, including dental problems, and dehydration, can result in confusion in older people. Hopefully she will get thoroughly checked out, and anything fixable identified.

So far I've only found the one at the Indian restaurant (not particularly clear but I shall try and tidy it up) but I know I had one of you in the summerhouse. When I get a chance I shall PM it to you and you can decide whether it goes on GC :)

It may be a while as all our photos are linked to Mrs Shiney's computer and we don't seem to have the same times that we are free! :noidea:

Dehydration is a major factor in elderly people becoming confused as they usually try not to drink too much otherwise they then have to struggle to get to the loo. :) It was one of the biggest problems in the care home my mother was in.

For many years now I have drunk four mugs of warm water every morning before breakfast. It certainly gets the body working :heehee:.

I have also seen a TIA can show signs of confusion. It is when its a sudden onset that it can be something other than dementia type diagnosis.

@Dovefromabove, Couldn't hear you from here!!! Where is the concert being held?

The rain stopped, the sun stayed out so I flung my gardening clobber on and ventured outside, by golly, it was such a bitter wind, I gave up after ten minutes. Sum total of jobs done, 1 clematis tied up, string and scissors handed to hubby, 3 weeds pulled up. Small gains, but pleasing and good to concentrate on something else.

Good luck with your cataract operations @Jazmine. I'm sure it will be fine. My OH was delighted with his.

There has been sunshine between the showers, like with you @lizzie27. Just when I went out to do some weeding it was showers. Then when I thought I'd dust the sitting room the sun came out.

The man is getting on well with the drive.

I've read back and it's taken so long, you chatty lot, I've no time to post much. Perhaps it's a good thing not everyone is posting.

Just to say good evening all, Happy Anniversary to @Ergates and @KayJ and I'll try and catch up again tomorrow, I'm having home made Lasagne made for me this evening. Then an early night, first day back at work tomorrow since Saturday and apparently I've 3 cakes to make before anything else.

It’s blowy and chilly out! At least it wasn’t raining when I ventured out of the hairdressers.
I’m going to have an hour doing my logic puzzles now (the grids with clues so you tick or cross and deduce the answer) before making some food.

                        Hi all

Nothing sort of a day, house freezing with windows open for the decorator, sadly he has found a fair bit of rotten wood in some frames, our fault for not maintaining the house properly. Anyway the bill is going to be somewhat bigger than we had bargained for.

Thank you @Ergates and congrats to you too! I'm looking forward to my posh fish 'n' chips, with jaffa cheesecake to follow! We're not really eating-out types, so prefer to treat ourselves this way! :)

Sounds yummy, @KayJ! We do enjoy popping out for breakfast, and lunch, but much prefer to relax over a meal at home in the evenings. We’ve just finished our panini, which were delicious. I had a bottle of alcohol free German beer with mine. I did buy a bottle of sparkling wine, but decided to save it for Easter Sunday and Monday ( OH doesn’t like booze, so I’ll have to drink it all on my own)
Set up of iPad is finally going well, so I won’t be tempted to throw it through the window after all. Managed to remove a load of apps I have no intention of using, and add some favourites to the Home Screen. I’ll be able to find my way here in seconds! I wonder if I can add my favourite logic grid puzzle site, @AuntyRach, I do enjoy doing those. Very good for clearing the mind when I wake in the middle of the night!
Thanks to all for the anniversary congratulations!
