    Good morning all.

It's 8.40am here in SW France, which is an hour ahead of the UK.

It's been tipping with rain in the night, heard it on the landing sky light.

Man is here repairing my driveway.

Wow the sun is trying to peep through the watery sky.

Good morning everyone, trust we're all set for an easy Easter.

Confession time... I just can't be trusted with having chocolate in the house, I've already eaten an Easter egg :hate-shocked:

Very strange, the sky is a weird blue colour, haven’t seen that for a while. I need to go to the G/C to buy more compost, so I can get the Dahlia tubers planted up. I wonder what else might fall into my trolley?

Good morning all. It's a first day of Easter break, and what a miserable start. High wind and rain, so it might be one more day to stay inside. In that case I might bake biscuits for Easter.

Good morning all, heavy rain last night and very windy. I need to get going with some seed sowing, I'm all behind! I'm hoping it will stay dry so that i an get the washing out.
I went to the audiologist a couple of days ago and the receptionist said my appointment was cancelled a while ago, and they had left me a message, which I assured her i hadn't received! It was at the time we were changing over to fibre and a different Isp provider so I guess it went into the ether! Anyway I have a new appointment for tomorrow.

It's rained heavily overnight and very cold, though we missed the snow that fell further south, and the sun is trying to break through. Too cold to stick my little tomato plants in the greenhouse for the day though, they will have to stay on the kitchen windowsill above the radiator.
Not sure what we'll be up to today, I'm supposed to be resting the shoulder in between icing and doing my exercises...and I've caught up with the garden so nothing much to do except watch for new growth and talk nicely to the plants! At some point the penstemons and perovskia will need cutting back, and there's some mulching to do, but otherwise it's seed-sowing and nurturing....I may have sown too many!

I think I’ve caught up. I’m still finding it difficult.

                  Good morning everyone
The sun is shining here but it's been raining in the night I think (unless everything's still wet from the heavy "shower" that we had yesterday teatime. The forecast looks reasonably OK for the weekend (mostly dry but on the chilly side) so some gardening might happen. I really need to scrub the bathroom tiles and grout, and paint the ceiling in there, but maybe not this weekend.

Yes, the man, who is the local one who installs gates for the company, is coming next week to repair it. The right had one had lost it's electrical supply. The man said that the whole fitting of the electrics was a mess and the electric box and the arms that fit on the gate needed replacing. Not cheap :frown:

No @floralies, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Just needed more of the plunger in the shower and loo. The man who is repairing the driveway had a look and said it's clear, anyway it's working again. He said it could be because we were away for 2 months and maybe we should flush the loo a few times before leaving next time.

Rained very heavily last night, and still pouring when we woke up. After three days out and about, plus my weekend away, we are planning to stay home today and get straightened up. The schools are breaking up too, so it gets rather busy around here. A good time to hunker down and catch up with jobs in the house and garden. Will also be busy trying to find my way round the new iPad, some is familiar but some new features. I’ve managed to add an icon to the screen, so I can come straight to this forum! Very pleased with myself!
Only gardening that will get done today will be topping up the compost in my house plants. I also want to get some of my smaller monstera plants into tidy pots. The next meeting of the village women’s group is the AGM, and we have been invited to donate home baking, produce and plants to sell for the group’s funds. Haha! This is an ideal opportunity for me to get rid of some of my monstera plants! I had two large plants that had got out of control and were threatening to take over. I took numerous cuttings and started them off in water to root. Very successful, but ended up with so many. I managed to get rid of what I could to friends and relatives, but this is my chance to offload the rest of the excess!

Morning all, it's absolutely horrible here, high winds and driving rain so I've offered to drive OH into town, he's meeting friends for lunch - or in other words, an all day breakfast/pub crawl! I'll pick up the paper on the way home.
Thankfully we didn't have the snow my daughter had down in South Devon last night, wonder whether it got as far as @Ergate? Not sure what I'll do today as not gardening weather and the house is clean and tidy.
Hope your man can get your drive finished today @Busy-Lizzie, and that your other problems are fixed.
Enjoy your trip to Suffolk @Dovefromabove, hope you have better weather than us.

I've got our Easter Eggs safely stashed away where I can't see them!

It was gorgeous sunshine when we left the house, slowly progressing to rain and wind in time for the ferry crossing!
