    Morning all!
Cornwall has a strong gusty wind and torrential downpours of rain/sleet. With my tongue firmly in my cheek I have put some washing out. Hmmm! We shall see if it dries.
I was planning a beach walk but the wind is freezing and will be much stronger along the coast so I think I will give it a miss.

We went to Egypt many moons ago- just fabulous. I enjoyed your posts @Ladybird4 and @Jenny_Aster. I don't recall us having any scary moments though!

Hello @Jazmine I’ve just spotted that you’re in Norfolk too :yay: Hope you enjoy the football …. although I have to admit here that I’m actually a Tractor Girl … having lived in Suffolk most of my life and have family involved with the club. My late Aged Ps were season ticket holders at Portman Road for years and I’d been on the North Stand ever since I was tall enough to see the action … also my ex was a Canary supporter so you wouldn’t expect me to change now would you? I hope you understand my predicament. I do keep my head down around here when local derbies are being played … I am quite pleased when Norwich do well … as long as they’re not playing my team :runforhills:

          Blessed Good Friday all.
Still on coffee. 7:31 Am. 38 degrees.
Noticed yesterday my star magnolia trees got frost bitten on the flowers when it dipped to 26 degrees.
Anyway, husband wants to go to Egypt. We shall see what happens.
So we leave Sunday morning for our trip to our airbnb. still packing and piling and checking lists to take stuff. So no need to worry about Easter Dinner, will catch a lunch somewhere on the road also dinner. Packing a cooler of course for stuff in fridge, trying not to make extra stuff.
Well on to whatever. Take care all.

Thank you @Chicky. I did go to a chiropractor when we were still in Norfolk but I was left feeling very bruised in the lumbar area though he did get the muscles up the sides of my spine out of spasm. It all felt so much better when we had some warm sunny days in France, but I think I may have overdone the gardening and now it's raining all the time. Last time I went to an osteopath I felt worse.

Hello @Jazmine, my mother's family came from Norfolk and Suffolk, 2 Mayors of Norwich in the past and several rectors. My OH lives in Norfolk but I live in SW France. We come and go.

Hi Bizzie-Lizzie, nice to see you have some Norwich connections. Norwich is a lovely city though sadly some shops are closing down.
Dovefromabove oh yes the "Rivalry" all good fun and makes for some exciting games. Even more so for us as our 9 year old grandson plays for Norwich city Academy and when they play Ipswich Academy there is the same excitement involved! We love it all.

Bedding is on the line - it's already had a small "extra rinse" but the sun is out again now so :fingers crossed:

I’ve just got our washing in … there’s a couple of big black clouds getting closer and the app speaks of rain after 1300. It’s almost dry … it just needs finishing off on a rack overnight. :blue thumb:

About 10 years ago had carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand to the point that the palm had a burning sensation while I slept. Went to a Chiropractor, in about 5 sessions he got rid of it. Have not had it again all these years. Good experience all around for me.

Afternoon everybody, chatty as usual. I have a job to keep up with you all! It's been sunny and mainly dry here for a total change and it feels warmer than yesterday. Trotted down to the local bakers for our Hot Cross Buns and enjoyed a toasted one with out coffee when we got back.
I then managed an hour's pottering in the garden - magic and very calming.
SIL reports that the carers have been and made my brother comfortable and he's now sleeping peacefully. Not eating or drinking though.

Glad the chiropractor sorted your hand out @redstar. Enjoy your trip on Sunday.

Coastal regions in the SW have been battered by recent winds @Goldenlily26 so you're probably safer away from the beach today.

Do hope that awful cough goes soon @Dordogne Damsel, can you get anything like Night Nurse in France, I used to swear by it for helping me to sleep during a cold/cough etc.

Right, sun's now appearing again so back into the garden I go!

Good afternoon and a good Good Friday!

It has been good, as I have been baking my hot cross buns thanks to @Dovefromabove The recipe turned out well and I have posted the results on The Buttery thread.

Blustery and cool but the sun is trying to make an appearance.

I haven't had time to read back as I have made a cob of bread as well.

Monkfish for dinner tonight with a creamy sauce and salicornes. Seaweed that taste like green beans. Good for the organism!!

                      Have a lovely day!

My hot cross buns are proving @Tui34 We'll have them with local butter studded with crystals of Noirmoutier sea salt. I have to make a second batch for Possum's return from Barcelona on Monday evening. She doesn't do dried fruit so they'll have chocolate chips instead.

Flounder and the last of the PSB for us. I can't get marsh samphire here at all. Daft cos it was always available in Belgium in spring but not here where, I'm told, it grows freely in the marshy bits along the coast. Oddly, I have to go to Les Sables to get chervil and tarragon. I do have tarragon in my herb patch but it's still asleep.

Hugs to all struggling with lurgies, injuries or poorly loved ones.

We only had a couple of rain showers this morning but the wind is now getting up so rough weather expected for later, off out in a minute to batten down the hatches.
Looking forward to having my HCB's with my traditional afternoon cuppa then just a light supper as daughter has to be at work tomorrow by 4am so will need to get her head down early this evening.
Must remember to put the clocks forward tomorrow night. How do you all feel about the clock change? I really dislike BST as it seems to disrupt my sleep patterns all summer, but it seems that most folks prefer it so I'm very much in the minority.
My best wishes for the Easter weekend to you all.

Just got back from the supermarket, brought in my washing and now the heavens have opened.
In addition to my tomato plants bargain, I bought six strawberry plants for a £1each. I like to sit on the patio in the summer eating my breakfast with freshly picked strawberries. At least, that's the plan again.
@lizzie27, I'm pleased a spot of gardening is bringing you some peace and solace. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
@Jazmine, I hope the football result goes the right way today.
                            @redstar, enjoy your trip.

The sun is now out. What barmy weather!
