A very early Good morning all … I’ve been listening to the Dawn chorus starting up … a lone robin, then a blackbird … and now there are several blackbirds singing away … and a songthrush further away … and a wren somewhere in the garden below this bedroom window …

And now most of the birds are quiet again … just the cooing of woodpigeons in the ashes …

 

A very good morning one and all. I did manage to get a better sleep last night which has certainly helped. My identical twin great nieces are 18 today - and yes, I still cannot tell which one is which! I just wonder where all those years have gone since they were born. I have a lovely picture of one of their Uncles holding them when they were not much bigger than rugby balls. He is one of the ex rugby players I have in the family.
The sun is shining - how long for I wonder, but at least it is a nice start for any people who are away having a holiday break near me in the Lake District, assuming this pleasant start reaches up there.

 

Good morning Early Risers, and those not so early risers. Looks a great day to be in the garden today with hardly any chance of rain (just 5% precipitation all day). Could this be the day to finally get ahead of the gardening game?

@Jenny_Aster, I really feel blessed with my enormous family and the twins are such lovely people. They are both dancers and have been since they were small. Their Mum was a gymnast so I think they have inherited her grace and flexibility. They are planning Universities now. I forgive them for being taller than me now. Most of my great nieces and nephews have used me as a yardstick whilst they were growing up and it became a kind of achievement when they discovered they could look down at me as we talked!

Morning all.

There is blue sky and sunshine. Meteo France have 2 forcasts for this area today, one says cloudy, the other says sunny. I won't be gardening, the garden is like a bog.

I will have a busy day though as friends are coming to lunch tomorrow, house needs tidying and there is a mountain of ironing.

 

Good morning @Busy-Lizzie. I will be checking on my pond area later to see if it is still underwater or whether it has finally emerged from the swamp. Not going to do anything in the garden though as I want to get rid of this cold asap. I may be seed sowing indoors.

it looks as if we have a fine day ahead. I’ll hang the bedlinen out, take OH to work and do a little badly needed sorting in the garden … and there’s a curry to make … or shall I do the Chinese pork dish tonight and save the curry for Monday? Decisions decisions …

Gosh, some of you are early risers! Admittedly, I was up at 6.30 and am on my second cup of tea.
The sun is shining and later when it warms up I will pot on my tomatoes and empty some troughs ready for my strawberry plants.
I need to tidy downstairs so it's spruce for Easter. I'll make a veggie lasagne for dinner tonight, with salad.

Hello there @pattie. You sound as though you are going to have a busy day. I'm never sure whether being an early riser is a good thing or not but I have always been one. Even whilst teaching I never needed an alarm clock to shake me awake in the mornings. The only problem being that no matter how late I went to bed, I was always awake at 06:00 - whether I wanted to be or not!
