What a glorious day it was yesterday.
Sunny and DRY! A chilly wind but lovely to get outside. My daughter collected dog and I and we all went for a beach walk, shared with lots of other dogs and their owners plus many visitors.
We stopped off at a GC on the way home where my daughter bought a bag of Aquatic soil to repot the miniature waterlily I gave her for her birthday last year and I bought some replacement Crocs to garden in. We had a cup of coffee and toasted teacakes before heading home, wind swept, tired and happy.
The rain came in during the evening, torrential, one big flash of lightening, a massive clap of thunder, the dog went mad, end of. It has started raining again this morning, grey and overcast, back to normal. Ho hum.

@Goldenlily26, believe it or not I was combing t'internet yesterday looking for some gardening Crocs or similar to replace my extremely disreputable and leaky old ones. I decided to wait until my next GC visit and see what they have on offer before committing to any online.

              Happy Easter Morning all :coffee1:

@Ladybird4 … the answer to your question is ‘No it isn’t’

The Easter Bunny (who I’d never heard of when I was a child … probably too pagan for Ma to countenance) has delivered some Lindor mini eggs to this house [IMG]

Has anyone else been listening to R3 this morning … it’s Martin Handley’s last session of presenting ‘Sunday Morning’ and he’s allowing himself a little self indulgence and playing some glorious pieces along with personal memories … and it really is lovely. Well worth Listening Again on Sounds if you’re missing it because it’s too early.

Hopefully I’ll do a bit more digging and sorting out of the veg patch today … before cooking our supper of roasted shoulder of Suffolk lamb with winter squash, roast potatoes and Cavolo nero with mint jelly and gravy.

                Morning everyone.

                Happy Easter. :chicken:
No, @Ladybird4, I think some chocolate is allowed if you want some .

A lovely start to the day, sunny and bright, but it’s forecast to change to drizzle this afternoon. I hope they’re wrong about that. We are invited out for lunch so looking forward to that treat.

Did you all remember to change your clocks?

Morning everyone! Anytime is a good time to indulge in a chocolate Easter egg @Ladybird4! It is in my book anyway.

Lovely sunny day today. Clocks are all sorted, plus it's the end of the month and household finances needed balancing. The gardening account is way over budget, but that will sort itself out later, the gardening account is always scary this time of the year.

Don't know what's going on with our bank (NatWest), last month it took them nearly 3 weeks to take the credit card payment out of our account (yet it showed up on the credit card account as paid), plus at that time it was showing I had £55 in our bank account more than my account (of our account :) ), I couldn't find any transaction for that amount recorded. I did try and contact them at the time, but in the end I couldn't be bothered holding on, there's more to life than holding on to speak to someone in a bank. Seeing that their balance of the account was in our favour, I thought I'd wait and see a bit. Noticed this morning the over balance of £55 has now gone, so it seems someone has found the error. I find it rather disconcerting. Glad I'm keeping my own records.

Got some tidying to do today, we've got 'royalty' visiting tomorrow, aka SinL (I love her really x).

Leg of lamb for today's dinner, I'd much prefer the shoulder, but those were sold out.

                            Hi Ladybird,
I found my crocs, reproduction ones, in a local GC. Par GC. They are from Town and Country, a nasty bright blue/turqoise, £9.99 and are called Cloggies. The colour choice was black or blue. They are comfortable, not like the even cheaper nasty beige market/supermarket repros. which are hard plastic and uncomfortable. You can feel every stone through the soles.
I was gutted when I heard the original Crocs were closing down, they are so comfortable and last such a long time. I know they were a lot more expensive but they were worth it.
