I really like your finished picture @Penny_Forthem and have a serious envy of your artistic talent. I like drawing but do not have the panache to be so creative. My teaching career was filled with anatomical diagrams of every system and its component parts in the human body and I reckon I could still possibly draw them today. I can draw horses which I have done for years but all the things I draw are things I've seen before.

@Liriodendron, I always loved the end of a school day when I could bid goodbye to my students and pack them off home to pester their parents.

@Allotment Boy my tulips in SW France are only about 2 inches tall, but they are late flowering ones. I have some botanical tulips which aren't out yet either. Yours are pretty.

I bought a chicken for the Bring and Share lunch at the gardener's cub tomorrow. I roasted it and we had roast chicken for dinner. There is plenty left to make a chicken salad. I'm trying to lose weight and there is always a lot of pastry at these lunches which I can't eat at the moment.

It has rained all day. I painted 3 kitchen cupboards, just frames and doors, all that shows on the outside. 2nd coat tomorrow. It takes a while because all the handles and hinges have to be unscrewed. Seven more to do. Some have drawers and some are just cupboards.
