@Ladybird4, this time was only veggie seeds, yellow carrots, lettuce, few courgettes varieties and parsnip.

 

Wow @Ante1 that's stormy.
We have stayed home all day, but really achieved little. Our new book, The Fermentation kitchen, arrived, so we have been engrossed in that.
I then wrote a glowing review of our tapas evening on Tripadvisor.
Hub is busy cooking a Chinese banquet for us tonight. The kitchen is looking like a bomb's hit it. I shouldn't say that, as of course, it hasn't.
Not seen @Goldenlily26 for a while.
And who else was growing Amaryllis? 2 out of 3 of mine are doing well. The third is still blind.

p.s. Just caught your post @Penny_Forthem and I had an amaryllis that has grown lots of lovely, healthy leaves but sadly no flower. I don't know whether its worth having a moan at Tesco!

Good morning one and all. @Penny_Forthem, that is a wonderful picture. I think you have captured the eyes to perfection. Anyone who has owned a dog - of any breed - will recognise that look. Now come on, 'fess up, you paused for a little doodle! Quite stunning those pictures, I particularly like the cow.

 

Good morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow. It's much better regarding wind, but still very cold. I can see a layer of ice in my pond. I'll finish my tea and continue with painting walls in one room. @Songbird, if you see this post, you might come and help a bit. I know you like painting.

 

Morning @Ante1. Its colder here this morning being only -1°C. My birdbaths are reasonably sheltered so haven't frozen over like last week. It was funny watching the birds attempting to drink.

 

Good morning everyone!

Sunny, bright and cold but no minus this morning!! Just a 0°C. We hit 11°C yesterday afternoon and the sun poured in through the conservatory. Warms up the lounge. Apparently, a rainy week for us so glad I have a load of washing hung out.

Now that's stormy sea @Ante1 - lots of white horses playing around!! (As my Nana used to say)
I love a wild sea - must be the old salt in me -I have seen few in my sailing days. Wouldn't have the confidence to be out in them now.

@Penny_Forthem I love your paintings - they are so original and you capture they eyes beautifully!!

I am going to sort out the "office" desk today. Lots of old bills and stuff to be burnt. I have a pile of leaves that will need some paper to start them off!!

Morning all. Great pics @Ante1 but a fierce looking sea. Oh no! Painting time again…. We have plans to start ( big time) in Spring. OH is unwell at moment so have to stay here and minister to his needs so won’t be able to trot over and offer a helping hand unfortunately. I could do with some practise too

 

Hello all! Still waiting for this relentless cold weather to go away! The birdbaths are frozen everyday, it's OH's job to de-ice them. I expect I shall be moaning about wind and rain by the end of the week! There's no pleasing some people! There is the annual gathering for the Galette des Rois and fizz in the village this afternoon, I think we should make the effort to go!

@Tui34 I have done that before! All you need do if it happens again is click on the delete button before you post. You could probably edit it now I would think as well.

 

Morning all, we're back from a few days away staying with friends near Stoke. Really enjoyed seeing them again as it's been a while (she's been quite poorly). We took them out to dinner the first night at a nearby restaurant with good food and generally lazed and chatted.

On Friday, we left them in peace and drove up to Manchester for a quick lunch with my eldest brother but oh my goodness, the roads around Manchester Airport were really scary - and busy!
Good job OH was driving and we had the sat nav which helped. We did about 325 miles over three days. We're not used to such busy motorways down here in Somerset.

Think we'll just relax today with a slow mooch down to the village to fetch the paper. It doesn't look very inviting but we need some exercise after sitting in the car for hours.

It’s rather chilly out but I’m having a cuppa outside with my big fleece hood up just to see some daylight (albeit a dull day).

MIL visit later - have a small list of jobs she needs help with so I’ll do her pedicure whilst OH does mending/fixing jobs. I must remember to cover my car with the frost screens when we get back.
