Good Morning all. Cold and gloomy out this Blue Monday but I’ll be flying the flag for Brew Monday today. I hope everyone can have a cuppa and catch up either on here or with someone today.

 

I’m afraid, literally afraid, of what is going to happen in the world post Monday.

It's positively summer here - 7°C ...... and raining!! Rather some rain than a blustery wind.

I am off to the DIY shop in about half an hour with my bathroom chap. So I must get my skates on.

Have a pleasant Monday - there'll be coffee brewing today, I'm sure!!

 

@Tui34, I hope you find everything you want at the DIY shop. I might have missed it but are you going for a full new bathroom?

Looks like another cold grey day outside. I will probably keep warm inside and carry on with my Photobox album.

 

@Penny_Forthem, brace yourself for later! I do have to say that your meal sounds absolutely delicious. I am bracing myself for the next round in the Quiz League tonight.

 

A walk-in shower @Ladybird4 otherwise the bathroom as is. We went to choose the door which took no time at all on a Monday morning!! Good luck for Quiz night tonight - nothing like that here which is a shame as it would get people out using bars and cafés a little more.

@Penny_Forthem Another way to do chicken - Love the spicy taste of Indian and Moroccan food. I don't have fenugreek leaves, but fenugreek seeds - will these suffice? I will do this for the weekend and make some sourdough naan with discard.

@Tui34 fenugreek is very easy to grow from seed - I have grown it from seeds bought in the supermarket.

 

Good morning. Funnily enough @Penny_Forthem I've just re-stocked my methi and have been looking at growing it. I've found a supplier called Magic Seeds here but need time to investigate their list before ordering. Possum has asked for sticky spicy ribs for her dinner and marmalade bread and butter pudding.

Very cold here again but some sunshine to brighten it up. Patchwork this pm so no painting for me but I shall line the drawers and put the new knobs on my chest of drawers.

Just have to think positive today @Tidemark and do some garden planning if you can't sow or weed or plant. Good luck for the quiz @Ladybird4.

Good morning all!

We have fog today, which doesn't encourage me to do much in the way of work... the house is reasonably clean, and I've pruned roses and apple trees. I really ought to be turning out a kitchen cupboard or two, but can't summon up the enthusiasm at present.

Possum's birthday meal sounds lovely. It's just the weather for bread and butter pud...

 

Morning all, late on parade again! These still dark mornings are no encouragement to get up earlier, roll on some brighter mornings please.
We're just having coffee, which helps to wake me up and then I might venture a stroll round the garden to see what's coming up. OH has already been out to collect the paper. If I feel up to it - and can make my fingers work, I might try pruning more roses. My new Felco's should arrive soon.

Can't help on the cooking front @Tui34 I'm afraid as I've no idea what fenucreek is. Some sort of leaves or a herb? I can only do plain English cooking so not at all adventurous.
Walk in showers are the bees knees!

@Tui34 I think you could put the seeds in, but it might not taste as a methi. It'll still be delicious though.
