Hello everyone. I hope that this 'afternoon' was not busy for you @AuntyRach. Sorry to read that your polymyalgia is returning @lizzie27 and I do hope that the facial you enjoyed so much will help to relax you. The husband of one of my friends suffers with that and has done for several years. I have to 'fess up that I had never heard of it before that but believe it can be very painful and debilitating. I do wish I could find a supplier of decent compost @Obelix-Vendée as that I had last season seemed tocontain a lot of wood chip and the pot I had one of my mini cucmbers in developed a rash of small brown toadstools. @Songbird, I have a really hard job getting a Doctor's appointment here. Honestly, you'd think I was asking for the password to get into the Crown Jewels.
@Ante1, I think your secret trip is out now

Indeed @Ladybird4 it is. My dear ladies, we have free first week in February. I decided to make a short trip to UK, young people call it a city break. As it's a short time, I'll will be again in London and continue where I stopped a year ago. You know that it's hard for me to travel at summer, and during the school year I must use holidays for that. Weather is never problem for me.

I am signing out for this evening. I caught up on the first part of this weeks Silent Witness story and I'm looking forward to part two tonight. Got an early start tomorrow as my sis and I are going out for breakfast to one of my favourite GC's. Enjoy your evenings everyone and keep warm.

Sorry if it was a secret @Ante1  but how grand for you. :biggrin:It will be something for you to look forward to and plan for. Might you be sightseeing some places you didn’t get to see the last time you visited? I hope you have a superb time.

Please don't worry @Songbird, it wasn't secret at all. I made my schedule, but it's not firm, I can change it. Just want to change my routine, and I'm not looking for big touristy places. Local people, local food, book stores, just relaxing time.

I don’t think you let the cat out of the bag, @Songbird. It was a bit of a giveaway when @Ante1 said he had got some pounds from the bank! Although he might have been going to Gibraltar!
It should be quieter during the first week in February, schools in England won’t start their break until 15th February.
We went out for breakfast this morning, it was bright but not sunny. Then I finished filling the green bins, mainly twigs and fallen branches, but I pulled up some ivy as well. The bins are out by the road for collection in the morning. I must now do some of the jobs that don’t generate a lot of green waste. Filling the bins tends to take priority when the collection is due, so other tasks get neglected. I’ve got some things in pots that could go into the ground if I can make time. I should also clean some moss off the pathway. Time for lights out. It’s been a busy day.
