    Good morning all!!

Cold, frosty but a bight sunny day forecast.

Thank you to you all for your kind wishes in my new home. Mixed feelings as I have left the family home after 35 years of good and not so good memories - so yes @Ladybird4 Happy Times ahead. I hope your nagging cough gets sorted out pretty soon.

Fizz is mixed up. She came into my bedroom and slept on the floor on the first night. Tp protect me - of course!! She has an off-the-floor stretcher bed with 2 sets of pillows, the last being a snuggly one. Second, third and fourth nights, she slept in her own bed, then came in again the night before last. Other than that, she is coping well. Enjoys her food, nose moist and poos well-formed and moist. What more do you want??!! The garden - well - work to be done. It's not big and the soil is sandy and clay. It'll take me a few years to get things right. It's a project and we all need one of those!

I hope you all have a pleasant Wednesday.

      Good morning all.

I'm glad your chest is clear, @Ladybird4. I hope the funeral goes smoothly, though I expect it will be sad.

I know how you feel @Tui34 as I moved from our family home, also in France, 4 years ago. We bought it in 1990. I downsized, still in France as my children all live there, but the garden is still quite big. It wasn't a garden, just an area of grass. I've had fun digging and planting.

It's sunny at OH's cottage in Norfolk. I may even cut back and weed and mulch another border today. Don't think there is a frost.

Good morning everybody, it looks sunny here too @Busy-Lizzie so I'd better get up and crack on with helping daughter tidy her garden. Enjoy your gardening today.

Hope all goes well this morning @Ladybird4.

It will take a good few months to get settled in your new place @Tui34 but what an adventure!
You can take great pleasure in perhaps some new decorative efforts to your own taste and have the enjoyment of planning your new garden. Well done for taking the plunge , not easy at any age.

Good morning. Wet here and cold. I've been to physio in the rain and came home in the rain. Another day indoors then.

When we moved, @Tui34, our dogs leapt out of the car and straight in the house and upstairs - not allowed in our Belgian house - and did a thorough circuit of all the rooms before rushingdown again and racing round the .outisde of the house before settling down. Just as well as it was just after midnight when we arrived. The furniture arrived 2 days later. More excitement. Enjoy the process and take your time. Best of luck with it all and I hope you'll be happy there.

Hugs to you @Ladybird4. I hope you get to share good memories with fellow mourners as well as comforting your friend.

Happy gardening everyone who can. Have fun whatever you're all doing and hugs to those feeling sad or poorly.

It has gradually clouded over since sunrise and now it's a dull day, but no rain. They are still muttering about snow in this neck of the woods next week; not good when we have a short break away booked.
I have dropped OH off at the chiropodist and he can get the bus back.
@Ladybird4 I hope the service is an uplifting remembrance of life.
            @Tui34 a blank canvas - how exciting.
I have a stack of clean washing to sort out - the fun never ends...

              Good morning,

A bright, sunny and chilly day here. Been to hospital with OH for his annual check. We were in and out very quickly so called into town for coffee and tea cake before returning home. The roads were pleasantly quiet and the lights mostly on green, which makes a change.

In sure you will have fun arranging your new garden @Tui34, though I imagine you’ll perhaps leave some of it this year to see what comes up during the year and then decide what are keepers and what must go.

Funerals are always sad occasions @Ladybird4, but an opportunity to say goodbye and reflect on a life lived.

                Afternoon all.

I hope you can feel a sense of calm that you have given respect and some comfort to your friend @Ladybird4.

I hope your new home is shaping-up nicely and you feel at home there (and for Fizz of course) @Tui34

It’s another phase of the year - Spring so close yet it’s still dark and cold. It’s a time for enjoying the little things and starting to go outside a bit more. I’ve started back my routine of having a cuppa in the garden, even if cold, just to soak up the change in season and see some light.

                Take care all.

Good afternoon all. Well the funeral was as wonderful as these occasions can be but so very emotional. The Church was packed out with many people standing at the back. The service was being streamed to Australia where my friend's DIL and grandchildren were - her son had come over to be with the family and he gave the most lovely and funny eulogy about his Dad. All in all, as nice as it could be in the circumstances.
It was nice to log on and see a lovely picture posted by you, @Tui34 and I smiled at your description of Fizz getting settled in.
My friend who drove me to the funeral was kind enough to run me to the surgery in the village to pick up my form for my chest x-ray and with my Bestie and her family all suffering with a similar bug and we both deciding to cancel our usual meet up, I am going to take the opportunity to get the x-ray done tomorrow. Sadly Bestie will not be able to make our First Friday meal this week. It has been a horrid Winter.
Thank you all for your kind comments. They are much appreciated.
