You are 100% right there @Busy-Lizzie but then again I wouldn't ask it to do anything I don't do either. That just wouldn't be fair!

I am signing out for tonight and I'll see how many plants I can recognise in Monty's grand tour.
See you all in the morning.

Good morning everyone. These weekends seem to hurtle by don't they? Got a bit of baking to do for coffee morning tomorrow but apart from that I have no specific plans - though the garden is beckoning. Once its light I'll be able to make out what the weather is doing. It certainly won't be anything like the beach scene above. Whatever jobs you have planned for today, I hope you manage to get them all done.

Good morning LB and al to follow. Here is sunny, but very cold, only 2℃.Nothing special to do today, I'll only sow tomatoes, aubergines and early cabbage. Pets are all fed and sleeping again. Hope you will all have a nice weekend.

Good morning @Ante1. Its 2°C here as well bt it is still very overcast and grey. I reckon you took the sun back with you! I have a cake baking in the oven now and I might have a look through my seed stash to see what I could start sowing now.

                Good morning,

Grey and dismal here. Cold, too. The sunshine seems to have disappeared once more.

I had a lovely afternoon yesterday catching up with friends. We try to meet up every couple of months, so we have plenty to say when we get together.

Today, I’ve a prescription to collect and a few household jobs to do. OH will be watching the rugby later this afternoon so I’ll busy myself with other things as I’m not so interested in it.

                  Good Morning everyone.

Off to meet sister for a coffee in a hotel cafe (hopefully a spot by the fire) then maybe watch the rugby this afternoon. I’ll nip to SM to exchange my chicken from the click n collect, as the packaging is puffed-up, so I won’t use it. I was taught that means there is bacteria.

                  Have a lovely Saturday all.

Morning everyone, we slept in a bit. Our excuse is we were at a recording of The Last Leg yesterday eve. The programme is made at the BBC studio in Elstree even though it's a CH 4 programme. It's only 15-20 minutes away at that time of the evening. It really is a live show, but we had to be there before 9 even though it doesn't go out till 10 and finishes at 11 on the dot. For those that don't know what it is, it started as a show summary of the days events at the para Olympic games but became quite popular and evolved into a weekly somewhat irreverent look at the past weeks news.
The weather was horrible cold and wet, but they were genuinely grateful to those who had made it, but it was far from full . It's free to go, you just apply for tickets.

Glad to hear that you have discovered the delights of Yorkshire Tea @Ante1. It's the only thing that gets me out of bed in the mornings, no other brew comes close to achieving that !

Wishing all "Yawners" a good weekend

Morning all. 2C here, and grey, very dreary looking. Slept well, and we have had our Saturday treat breakfast of pancakes with blueberries. Nothing planned for the day. OH will be watching rugby all afternoon and evening, by the sound of it. I’ve caught up with the laundry, so might do some alternative jobs. I’ve been meaning to clean and dust our bedside cabinets for weeks. Mine seems to have accumulated rather a lot of pens, puzzles torn out of the paper, plus sample sizes of various creams and potions from a beauty advent Calender. The nice ones get used up quickly, but some of them rely heavily on natural scents I’m not very keen on! Eucalyptus, and seaweed anyone? All very worthy, but some nicer perfumed varieties would appeal more to me. Unfortunately I can’t even bring myself to throw them out, having looked up how much they retail for! Still, some of my parched extremities are no doubt benefitting from their unexpected exposure to posh face creams!
I must try and force myself out to the garden. Having started to make a small impact on the shrub pruning, it won’t be long before I’ll have to stop for bird nesting time. At the moment, it’s looking worse rather than better, OH wondered if it could have been left as at least it looked ‘tidy’. Not when the ‘ground cover’ is nearly four feet tall, and turning into a forest!
Onward and upward ( it’s on a very steep bank!)

Our greenhouse is fixed! As anticipated, it didn't take long with agile son on the job. The roof panel is gorilla taped in place for added security.
It's cold and grey here, and OH has gone to his bushcraft men's group.
I am making a pot of coffee, in case anyone fancies one? I've put the heating on, too!
                          We also have Yorkshire tea.

Cold again here. Started sunny but is now cloudy. Rain later. I need to make some sesame chicken to take for the pot luck lunch after garden club committee meeting but not a cake as we'll be having galette des rois after the afternoon conference - a chap who gets plants to make music. Boggling.

We're off out dancing this evening so now mucky exertions for me this pm. Pottering then.

Don't drink tea at all. Start the day with a mug of black coffee then drink tisanes all day and water with meals. Wine some days. We can get Yorkshire tea here but it's expensive. OH and Possum like a breakfast tea. We all like proper hot chocolate.

Enjoy your day everyone. I hope the weather doesn't spoil gardening plans.

Just catching up with all your chat after a few days in the Lake District. A last minute decision Wednesday morning based on the weather forecast and headed off that morning. We had glorious sunshine so have enjoyed lots of fresh air and walks. Arrived back home to sleet and rain so just waiting for the log burner to get us warm.

You all seemed to have been busy buying cars, gardening and trips out and about catching up with friends.

@Ergates I sorted out a similar stash of accumulated creams and potions (full size and sample sizes) a few years ago. I sent a bagful along to a local Womens Crisis Centre, apparently they are very welcome as they use them to create little welcome packs for new arrivals and or as Christmas/birthday gifts for any children to give their Mums.

Hope your leg is better @AuntyRach

An ex-fan of Yorkshire tea here. Nowadays I mostly have Peppermint Green Tea at home and the only other teabags we buy are OH’s decaffinated and either sampling various brands he settled on Tetleys.
