A very good morning one and all. I cannot tell yet what it's like oiutside but I'm pleased to say no snow visible in the street light. Perhaps I could get into my garden today. I hope this afternoon is not too hectic for you @AuntyRach. Hope @Busy-Lizzie's and her OH's heart rate and blood pressure are back to normal after yesterday's scare.

Good morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow. I see that my snow arrived up to some of you, good. Sunny morning here, but -3℃. Just popped out to refill bird feeders, and it is quite enough outside activities till afternoon. Wish you all a lovely Sunday, and keep warm.

Good morning @Ante1. I do love to see snow - but somewhere else! I will be happy if your pictures of the snow are the nearest I get to it!

            Good morning all.

The snow has nearly all melted, but it still looks pretty gloomy outside. Forecast says there will be some sunshine this week.

Regret to say that the tap controller has left it running again this morning. :dunno:

Dry and not so dull this morning. A day at home, half term so unless we are out by 9am, it can get uncomfortably busy at our regular haunts. Woke upset after a disturbing dream, so relieved to find myself safe at home.
We are having the end piece of the ham I bought for New Year, which I popped into the freezer. I shall do roasties, Yorkshires, stuffing and veg to go with it. I still have half a turkey crown in the freezer, don’t know whether to leave that for Easter or my birthday in March.
There was a lot of noise at the end of the road, last night at 11pm. Some sort of machinery and I could see orange flashing lights through the hedges. Didn’t sound like chain saws ( with all the trees round here, fallen branches etc are fairly common) maybe a burst water main. I must take a stroll down and have a look. If it stays dry, I have no real excuse not to shred the prunings, however, it’s pretty noisy so maybe not on a Sunday. I’ll just trim some more to add to the heap.

Morning all. It’s bitterly cold here in the North East. Have had a quick look round the garden and noticed the fritillaries are coming through…I’m always pleased to see them for some reason. Maybe because they signify Spring coming more to me than bulbs? However, won’t be doing anything outside as it’s too cold. I’m itching to get some soil turning done, grass cutting, tidying up, planting out………

Cold, damp and very grey here but no snow, so that’s something positive about the weather

Sunny intervals forecast for tomorrow so will be spending today with everything crossed that it comes true.A quick old scamper around the garden yesterday and we have quite a few crocus showing some colour, poor things must be desperate for some sunshine too.

Nothing exciting planned here. Roast chicken on the menu, but I just do chicken thighs when it’s the two of us with roast potatoes/veg all on the same roasting tray. Easy peasy and one of those meals that gives back more than the effort put in. You’ve reminded me @Ergates, I think I have some Yorkshires in the freezer. I make mine in a muffin tin so one batch does 2-3 meals. Must go and rummage.

Hope work isn’t too hectic @AuntyRach and everyone else has a relaxing/restorative/productive day (delete as appropriate).

Since we got rid of our old gas cooker, I’ve not been able to cook decent Yorkshire puds. I used to plonk the muffin tin on top of the hob to get the oil really hot before adding the batter. Can’t do that on the induction hob (that’s actually it’s only drawback) I’ve resorted to buying frozen or ready made ones.
I nearly bought some fritillaries at the supermarket, three pots for £12. I wish I’d bought them now, just couldn’t decided where to put them. I had a few in my snowdrops patch, but I don’t think they came up last year. I must move some more snowdrops, there are quite a lot, plus some crocuses and really tiny daffodils, that were planted so far from the house that they are barely visible. It’s not the time of year to be out near enough to admire them.

We have been invited out for Sunday lunch! Roast lamb - don't mind if I do! We'll take wine as our contribution. It's only round the corner, so no driving involved.
Forecast shows it's getting milder mid week :yay:

Good morning. Don't tell anyone but we have sunshine! Supposed to be cloudy with occasional glimmers but there's just a patchy haze of cloud and lots of bright light. Set to stay this way all week with temps just below 10C so maybe things will start drying out a bit.

I'm not doing much today tho after a bad night. Made the mistake of taking some new sinus clearing meds after dinner and was awake half the night sneezing and blowing. Head and ears feel hollow but still bunged. Odd. I need a new frock for a tea dance in 10 days' time so might go and look at fabrics and patterns in my stash.

Roast belly pork here with roast parsnips, baked carrots and steamed broccoli or Savoy. @Ergates I don't often do Yorksire pud but I can get the fat hot enough in the oven. They always rise well. Enjoy your lunch @Penny_Forthem.

Have a restful Sunday everyone, unless you're looking for thrill that is.

                            Good afternoon,
Bitterly cold here, with damp air, but at least the sun is trying to shine occasionally. It was perishing cold in church this morning despite the heating being on. I’m glad I decided to wear my longer coat.
Back home now and had a coffee to warm me up, so after I’ve posted here, I’ll get on with a couple of jobs, then probably spend the rest of the afternoon reading.
Some tasty sounding dinners on the menu today :). We’re going to be having lamb tagine later.

It was perishing cold too in our church @Blue arbour, I think the heaters are too high up. My feet are still cold. OH has lit the wood burner.

Sunny but quite a few puffy clouds about and breezy, 20c.

Oops, in the wrong thread here!
