Good day everyone
I've had some very busy days lately. Got a few minutes to spare before my company arrives- 12 gal friends. We're sampling each other's soup creations and I have baked several types of breads that will hopefully compliment the soups. Plus a loaf each to take home. I've got crafts set up to play with too

After they've left I've got to quick tidy and get ready for an out of town guest staying with me for the week and arriving tonight.

I hope everyone is getting their weekend to dos complete and ready to start a new week.

Late here. did some stuff this morning. made eggy bread for breakfast and bacon with black coffee. wind is really ripping around.

got to take out my huge black iron skillet and caramelize lots of onion for my caramelize onion cheddar cheese quiche I am taking to work on Wednesday for our office Thanksgiving fest.

Got my Turkey for Thursday to roast, a 17 lb. plenty for frozen things later to put together. Have no made my stuffing in years, looking forward to it.

Watched the recording of the new series of Peaky Blinders yesterday early evening; certainly got off to a good start (as long as you were not Italian ). I don't watch a lot of TV but I do like a good drama from time to time.

Good day everyone
@toppington it only took about 7 hours to make the bread. And it is only once a year that we do this. My favourite soup was a cauliflower soup. Yum. We did some cheesy Christmassy crafts after and had a lot of laughs.

I have company here for the week and a lot of wage earning work to accomplish as well so while I am being kept occupied, I hope everyone here enjoys good weather and has time to play in it.

 

Thanks @toppington and @"M" . The stuffing should turn out wonderful, been making it for years. kinda involved to what it is today from trying others. I love it. And only me and husband. then the freezer will get a lot next week when I break down the turkey. then simmer up the bones for good bone stock. also right now have turkey bone stock in the freezer for basting. Making Pecan Pie also. that quiche comes out good.

Anyway, off to work soon, will be off Thursday. all this week is light stuff, pretty much caught up on stuff. so will be doing lots of observation work of staff and guidance issues. have a good day all.
