        Aloha everyone,

The cold weather is arriving and it's 34.3F with some frost.

We're being taken out for lunch today for all the work I did running my friend's 80th on Saturday. :blue thumb: We're going to a pub we've never been to - three villages away from us and eight miles on mainly single track roads with occasional passing places. So need to give ourselves at least half an hour to get there.

I managed to clear some of the paperwork on my desk and hope it doesn't pile up quicker than I can continue to clear it. Most of my box files are now getting almost too heavy to move from the shelves so I also need to go through them and shred the things that are no longer needed. I really should have an industrial shredder! :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

          Cold here too, 4C.

Looks like we'll get some sun though :)

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

            Good Morning,

            How are tricks?

Blinking cold isn't it :yikes:, I don't want to wish my life away but I can't wait until spring :hapfeet:. I'm sure it's an age thing but I found my self looking at vests in M&S last week , my back gets so cold :old: these days....no problem with my front! :heehee:.

My neighbour has daffodils shooting under her front window :dunno: , I've been watching them for a few days, I hope they will soon bloom :).

My kitchen is coming along really well (it's not been without drama :wallbanging:, I got a little excited when the granite worktops went in, the fitters managed to take a large chip out of my new range cooker :gaah::mute:, I won't repeat my words! This is being sorted but it's been so stressful) I still need to choose my floor tiles but I'm waiting until the new year, work is hectic & I can't be doing with anymore workmen before xmas.

Best I get a move on.

Love to you all, stay safe & warm :) xx

                          Aloha everyone,

The lunch yesterday was very good. My starter was Cajun oriental () beef ribs which was very tasty and the meat just fell off the bones. Main course was Steak and Guinness pie.

After a three hour lunch we got home and just relaxed until it was time for me to go to bridge in the evening. Didn't bother with any supper :)

This morning, early, I scraped the ice off the car and took Mrs Shiney to a friend who was driving them up to London for a flower arranging course. The friend's farm is three miles down a single track road and to get to that road is a fairly straight drive on country roads. Was it easy? Like **** it was!!! They'd closed the one mile long road that we would go through to the country road so I detoured four miles to go through another village - and they'd closed the road from that village to the friend's road. No detour signs! :mute: I eventually found my way there by driving through a hotel and golf course and out the back road for the hotel. :phew:

I'll have to pick her up this evening so am studying the roads now.

I've fed the birds and they were all waiting patiently in the surrounding trees and bushes for me to finish filling the feeder.

Keep well and have a great day

                          Aloha!

                            Goooooooooood morning, fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Good to see you @Beckie76 - sorry to hear of all the stresses you've had to endure :grphg:

Been such a busy week and not a lot to show for it  :dunno: but it has kept me out of mischief :heehee:

A real wintery morning this morning and a joy for walking Ozzy in: hard ground underfoot with a coating of frost and a clear sky with a bright sun on our backs - perfect! Actually let him off his lead for a few minutes today and it was good to see him lead-free, even if it was for such a brief time. He certainly enjoyed it!

I'll be lining up my nutcrackers today  and I'm quite sure there will be a few: "Oh yes! I'd forgotten we had that one" going on :heehee: I've never been a collector of any sort, but, over the years that once solo nutcracker has grown in number and now make quite a striking display in the dining room.
Aww!! :wub2: :cat-kittyandsmiley: :wub2: Its a curious sensation, being head butted by a cat, isn't it? :heehee:

fun renovating a new kitchen @Beckie76 . we did ours about 6 years ago, not without drama also. think that comes with the territory with any reno. but fun finding the pieces/styles I wanted. fun and new discovery shopping for the counter top. we went to this place that the size of the building could house 4 planes wing to wing, unbelievable the choices.
Then was our hallway bathroom, I do have a video about that one, now that its done.

Today--Saturday--off to errands. just finished last of outdoor Christmas lights, a new style this year. and its snowing. take care all, be safe.
