Wish it was warmer here. Got chilled and soaked through taking Amber out in a snow storm, it is easing off now lot lighter flakes than it was earlier.
Have a good day stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

      Aloha everyone,

Thick snow on the ground, looks lovely but I hope it thaws quickly (still snowing :dunno:) as I would like to go food shopping.

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

Morning all! Late morning from me, been up early but pottering inside! Now time for a coffee and to sit and watch the snow fall.

It's been snowing here since the early morning, now have about 5 inches! Still going now. May well head out for a wander in it later on, but it is very cold and clothes will need to be dried! All the buses are cancelled and there are a lot of signalling problems on the trains too. Sounds like it will freeze over-night as well - eek!

Hope you are all keeping warm and well, and a good day to everyone! :)

            Good day all,
I'm just finished a busy, hectic week. This morning I took a break and have been baking whilst listening to my show.

Also very pleased that my carnation seeds have sprouted. Now I'm figuring out a cool indoor grow area for them. I'm thinking cellar and led lighting.

Sounds like here are employing their snow shovels.

Please take it easy this first time out shoveling the white. And play safe, no ice balls!

I got fed up being indoors so went shopping after clearing 7" of snow from the car :phew:. It was a bit of a struggle getting along our driveway but I managed it OK. Roads were about 5" deep in slush. Careful driving got me to the almost empty supermarket. :blue thumb:

Fortunately I wasn't out in the open that long! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Been out and walked Amber this morning and got drenched through, it was a towel job on both of us but not so bad that we could walk like yesterday afternoon as I was in great difficulty trying to get along with my walker and it sliding everywhere taking me with it.
Have a good day today, keep warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.:wub2:

forgot to check in, 7PM here now on Monday . quietly busy at work all day. I am so caught up with my reports, shhhh---don't tell anyone ---they might give me more to do. tomorrow the same, just non-stress work day, traveling down to another office and trying to look busy. have to work slower.

                        Aloha everyone,

26F (-3.3C) at the moment. I'll need to wear my thermal long Johns and vest today as I shall have to be standing outside in the cold

It's the season of goodwill but I wish it would extend to the parents of the village school. Today and tomorrow the school have their Christmas concerts on and some of them seem to think it's their god given right to park in the village hall car park next door the school as they can't manage to walk to the school with their little darlings!

The car park is private and for the use of the hirers of the hall (they're paying for it). Today I'm the hirer, for our bridge club, and we more than fill the whole car park (have to park cars across other cars - which doesn't matter as we're all together). We get 80 - 100 people, average age about 80 :rolleyespink:, and they need access to the car park.

The concerts (different ones for different years) start at noon and go on until about 3 p.m. We need access from 1 p.m. so I shall have to go to the hall at 11.30 and reset the controls for the electronic barrier. The barrier had to be installed because of the school problems - parents using it to drop off and pick up children when hirers need to use it - and some of the parents damaging the village hall walls with their 4x4s. So the barrier automatically closes at drop off and pick up times.

So I'll then have to go back at 1 p.m. to raise the barrier for the club members and stand at the barrier for an hour (with an assistant) and control who comes in to the car park. Not an easy job. Most parents are very good and go elsewhere (village car park 300yds away) but some get very aggressive and we have had threats of physical violence and even some drivers try to drive over us. :phew:

                        I hope it doesn't snow.

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

Looks like it snowed all night. Not heavy stuff. Just large fluffy flakes.

I don't plan on going far today. I have finished my wage earning work and can now spend some time doing a bit of organising things round here. I am attempting to "downsize" my personal possessions. Too much stuff!

Hope you all are warm and play safe :)
