          Good day everyone
It is still quite dark here so I do not know what the skies are hosting. We have been forecast a day that is to be 91f with a "real feel" of 104f. I plan to be not too active. I will be spending part of the day at a food and wine pairing. Always fun and though I limit my wine intake to a spoonful of each type of wine, the food is usually fantastic and filling :)

Of course this is well after I have watched/listened to my show. We are now having 3 hours worth on sunday mornings. We must have lagged far behind again and are now catching up. I'll make bread whilst the show is airing. And take the bread to the hostesses of the tasting today. :)

I would like to find time before I go to switch out the led lights in the greenhouses. I have a new use for the ones shining in there now and I have older strips that will do the job out there almost as well. :)

Have a super day everyone :)

            Aloha everyone,

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday and spent it at a cousin's house. There was a touch of drizzle in the night but OK now and I'm off shortly to give my next bridge seminar.

            Have a great day

            Aloha!

Morning all. It's a bit chilly this morning. I'm starting the day with a big hearty bowl of banoffee porridge. I need to build my strength up. Not because I will be doing any gardening today but because the grandchildren are coming tonight and staying for the next 10 days.

                    Morning early people :)

Bit better this morning, only up once in the night.

                    Soggy here today.

                    Off out in a bit.

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

                      Good day everyone
@shiney every time you mention bridge, I get sleepy. I know it is a great game but I am one of those people who don't really care about any kind of competition and therefore a terrible partner in card games. I fell asleep once at a get together where bridge was being taught - bad Lori, bad Lori :snooze:

@Jack Sparrow - 10 days! oh my god, 10 days! I think if it was me, I'd be hiding in the cellar by about day 4 :yikes: - I've got 9 grandchildren and luckily other than for "official" family dinners, they don't all come to visit at once :phew:

We are looking at another day in the 90's. My poor plants are trying to do their autumn run on death and this weather is confusing them. I plan to enjoy every moment of this heat because they are predicting that on Thursday, Mother Nature will turn the furnace off and we will then be plunged into daytime highs in the 60's. Also very pleasant for being outside :)

Have a super day everyone and play safe please :)

@CanadianLori We will be having 3 of them on this occasion. The eldest one, 12 is no problem. The other 2, twins, 6 are a different kettle of fish. My wife works morning so I will have the joy of getting them ready for school every day. Lucky me. :rolleyespink:

                            Evening, fellow WW'ers

Then I shall hope that his appointment is sooner rather than later

Thank you. The Ozzy one still needs sorting but as far as Echo goes ... I think the vet must read the forums :th scifD36: because he called later that evening  The good news is, Echo doesn't have any infections to treat (yay!) but Echo was called back for blood pressure checks (boo!). The blood pressure checks came back normal (yay!!!) but that simply means there is one less condition to treat. :rolleyespink: I know he can't be cured, but, the plan now is to manage his condition with some medication and prescription diet to ensure he maintains a quality of life for as long as possible (yay!!). His hydration levels are up (double yay!) which also means he is a bit perkier. After his blood pressure check, he was able to put another tick on his bucket list: we went shopping together :heehee: Ok, so it was a shop near to the vets and his carrier looks more like a (large) hand bag and we were not caught out (stealth mode you see ;) ). It didn't stress him at all but certainly gave his brain a work out! :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Today has not been one of my better days; I learned this morning of the sudden passing of a childhood friend (that's two in under four months!). I visited her father this afternoon to offer what small comfort I could. It was heart breaking to see him on his own! Yes, I know she only passed this morning, but whatever happened to people pulling together and rallying around at times like these? :dunno: I stayed for as long as he was willing for me to be there and we chatted about those earlier days, so long ago now; we sat in the garden for some while in companionable silence too, until he got up, showed me around the garden, picked some grapes for me to bring home "for the boys" and showed me two potted apple trees which he would like me to take home (but that needs to wait until Mr "M" can do the lifting). Such a kind thought, because, when I get them home, they will be a forever reminder of my dear, sweet, friend who was the one who taught me the joy of hens, that some flowers are edible, gave me my first ever chive plant to nurture and gave me many, many joyful memories to treasure. I'm yet to imagine a world without her in it but I think I can say that my own world was enriched for having her within it.

I am so blessed to know, and to have known, some of the best people in this world. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to say that, so I do count my lucky stars.

                            Smiles and vibes for all
