It has been an unusual few days here. We still have around 6 inches of ice pellets on our lawns and gardens. We are expecting the temperatures to stay a little above freezing during the day, from now on which will now melt all this mess and has already caused flooding in some areas. My home is situated in a municipality that has many holding ponds so I am lucky not to have to worry about damage here. Just really wet gardens and a soggy lawn.

As it is forecast to be another cloudy unpleasant day I plan to make the best of it by starting to make myself a denim jacket perhaps do some of the dreaded mending I keep putting off.

I hope most here have better weather than me and are out there playing with their green friends :)

          Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl what a lovely picture! :blue thumb: :love30:

Looking out my office window I can just see the sunshine kissing the tops of the trees.

We got a lot done in the garden yesterday and I've started building the ShineyFrames :phew:

I think it will be a mowing day today.

Keep well and have a great day.

          Aloha!

              Good day everyone
It is a little milder today. Already almost up to freezing :) The clouds are allowing the sun to break through here and there as well. Hopefully the rays will melt the rest of the ice that is hanging about.

I finished my denim jacket yesterday morning and am so pleased with pattern and it's variations that I have decided to make another. This one will be navy blue denim instead of ivory like the last. I might even have enough fabric left to make a third one tomorrow. I figure that if I work on my wardrobe in the mornings, I'll be out in the greenhouses by the time the sun comes around their side of the house :)

Have a super day and play safe please :)

                Aloha everyone,

I'm still having some software problems with the computer and Tom (computer man) has been ill.

Yesterday was hot :phew: and hit 80F. I did some more work on the ShineyFrames, a lot of mowing and had to go to the chiropractor to repair my back and leg after overdoing things the other day :noidea:. We were taken out to lunch in between all this. :blue thumb:

I'll carry on working on the ShineyFrames today as that should be standing and stretching upwards and no bending. I'll leave working on the 200ft of chicken wire that will need to be put in place and fixed there to keep the rabbits out :fingers crossed:

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                        Aloha everyone,

It was too hot yesterday to do anything in the garden (topped 84F) apart from watering.

My computer is being naughty again, boot system failure!

We're taking a couple of friends out for lunch today. I had to wake him up at 5.30 a.m. the other month when our taxi failed to turn up to take us to the airport. We've already given him a bottle of Scotch from our cupboard as that's his tipple. We don't drink but back in the days of bringing back cheap duty free booze, about 40 or 50 years ago, we bought this Scotch. It turns out that it's now worth £150 per bottle! :rolleyespink: I hope it tastes as good as its price. :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day
