I think I shall need to shut down and start again. I typed the whole of the last sentence, using one finger on each hand, and it had only reached the word 'need' when I had finished typing. Opening the smilies tok 90 seconds.

I've not yet been able to open any other pages as it takes so long that the computer then says it can't open them!

I'll try opening in a new window.

The sun is shining brightly but I don't know the temperatrue as my weather centre needs new batteries. Going into town shopping so shall solve that problem

I feel colder as well but that's probably because I haven't got my shorts on!

We're struggling to get everything ready for Open Day

Grass very long and needs mowing, no petrol for mower - but see first paragraph.

Still have to finish building ShineyFrames and then running the rabbit defences out.

Weeds are doing a grand job of trying to take over.

Aloha everyone,

By the time I had done my shopping, bought the petrol and got ready to go out and mow, it started raining! It didn't rain for longf but the grass is too long to mow when wet. So I shall get going on it as soon as this morning's sun has taken off the worst of the dampness.

I've posted the result of my meeting over the dire compost that we bought.

Aloha everyone,

I got a lot of gardening done yesterday, mainly mowing, and am suffering a bit today with back problems. It's my own fault for making things difficult for myself. The wildflowers that cover the end of the garden means that I need to weave around them when mowing and maneouvring the heavy mower around them is difficult. My neighbour, who was mowing the end of his garden at the same time took half an hour. Mine took two and a half hours but the grass in mine was way past my ankles!

I may try and wear a lower back support just to get a bit of releif - but I'm not sure my stomach will allw it to fit!

On the upside, there were 11 blackbirds following me and having a feast of big juicy worms. The robins hardly got a look in but managed some small worms.

Rain forecast for today so I might get around to potting on the chilli plants, most of which are now starting to flower.
