Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Haven't looked in on this thread for a long time - it's been a hectic past few months since our house move last year and I haven't found the time to look in on GC as much as I'd like.

Good to see most of the regulars still on here and to catch up with everyone.

@Fat Controller Hope things are looking up for you and your recovery is going well mate. Same goes for anyone else feeling a bit poorly at present.

We're kind of muddling through at present, the house is in a state of upheaval at the moment, as we're having a whole new heating and hot water system fitted.

Added to this, Mrs Trunky has just had an operation on both feet. I bought her home from hospital yesterday, she's as comfortable as can be expected at the moment, but has to stay off her feet as much as possible for the next couple of weeks at least, so I've got some time off work to carry out nursing duties.

Interesting to hear about your wheelchair experiences FC, I'm going to try to organize one for Mrs T next week so I can get her out and about a bit as the recovery progresses. We'll see how we get on with that!

Hope everyone's gardens are doing well and coping with all the hot dry weather, what a summer this is turning out to be! I'm quite enjoying my few days off actually despite all the upheaval, as it's given me a few days break from working outside in the heat.

Good day everyone
We've had a break in the heat wave and I am sat here enjoying having the windows open, hearing the birds and getting a nice cool breeze. We are expecting the heat and humidity to return on Monday for a few days and then we'll be back to our more moderate temperatures in the 80's not 90's. We usually get a scorcher for a week or so every year and I'm glad to have it early.

We got a doozy of a thunderstorm, with heavy rain that lasted about 1/2 hour, the other night and I collected enough in my rain barrels for two days of watering. A bonus.

Today I shall be doing some baking and tidying and possibly some weeding too.

Goodmorning everyone
It is still fairly cool here and I've got two hours before my show starts. Lots of time to get the paper read and answer any emails that need my attention.

I'll be doing my cleaning during the show because I can listen to it whilst washing things down and vacuum during the commercial breaks. Get lots done that way.

@shiney I'm sure you're racing about keeping guests comfy and well fed. Hope your back allows you to get through without too much pain.

I've got the kids and grandkids coming by for a barbecue lunch and then after they go, will have a lazy afternoon.
