@wiseowl Your alert didn't show up on my computer I've been busy writing reports I've just finished a four page report about our holiday. I always give a feedback report about the good things, or the bad, and make my suggestions. If worded correctly they are always well received and some holiday companies actually give me a discount voucher off another holiday (£60 from the previous one)

This last holiday was excellent but there were still a few minor things that could be improved or altered. One of the very minor points that I told them about was on the breakfast buffet. The scrambled egg was cooked perfectly and was nice and hot . Unfortunately it was too salty for me so I had to get them to make some separately for me - with no salt. It was not a problem but it wasted their time at a very busy time. I spoke to the chef about it and he said that they always pre-salt the egg before cooking - and obviously intended to continue to do so. so I have pointed out to their head office that there is salt on the tables for the guest to use, so why add it and cause a problem. After I had asked them to make mine separately a lot of other guests did the same.

Most of my report was full of compliments for organisation or people.

I'm running a bridge seminar/classes this morning so shall need to get out early to open up the hall. Then my regular appointment with the hygienist (it was actually last week but she was ill).

Yes, it's already 74F and rising.

Mrs Shiney has gone off to the local show and has entered 24 categories . She's nowhere near as confident as usual about her entries as the weather has not given us good crops.

I seem to have missed a day somewhere

After a busy day yesterday I'm taking it easy today

Sarafi now has a collar on him and he doesn't look too happy about it. So he got a lot lf attention from Mrs Shiney

It doesn't look too bright out there but it's quite a mild morning so I might do a bit of pottering around.

Aloha everyone,

I lied! I didn't take it easy and did loads of mowing, filled half a wheelie bin with noxious weeds (mainly bindweed and equisetum) and did a load of harvesting. The courgettes have got back into their stride now. so, as we have different people coming each day over the holiday weekend I'm going to make courgette soup, courgette casserole, courgette curry etc. They will have other things included.

Mrs Shiney has a friend coming this morning (not one of my favourite people as she moans all the time, asks for advice and then never takes it! ) and then we have friends coming for dinner tonight.
