Yawn yawn, wakey wakey Autumn 2018

Didn't go so well. Lightsare a problem. David said that the units could be rewired but it's a difficult job and he couldn'tgurantee that they would work. Went to look at lights in a specialist shop and didn't like any of them. The man in the shop said he could rewire lights and the bulb holders would be changed at the same time. We would have to take them in for him to see whether they could be done (£30 charge for checking) and then, if they are fixable, £15 per arm that holds the lights. It's not too bad a price if it can be done so I'll need to take them to him to look at.

Tom brought the computer back and started to set it up but it kept freezing when he tried to download our emails from the server. So he's taken it away again and will work on it at home.

We're taking some friends out to lunch today for their 60th anniversary.

The promised rain didn't appear and it has been quite sunny. Taken our ceiling lights to the lighting shop to be rewired. So I guess we'll be without them for a week.

Good morning have a lovely weekend

It's a little bit damp outside but not raining. I hope to do a bit more gardening this morning whilst Mrs Shiney is out at a flower arranging demo. Then we're off out, I've been told by her , to view a house for sale with a friend of hers. The friend has never owned a house before and wants my 'expert' opinion. The only help I can give is some moral support and sound as though I know what I'm talking about when I try to get the price down for her .

Then we're straight off to a Horticultural Society Show in a posh village . Mrs Shiney is a member and wants a chauffeur
