    Aloha everyone,

Last night the car was frosted when I was coming home from bridge. It's a bit nippy out there now.

When I got home one of the fuses had tripped out, apparently when a light bulb blew in the lounge, and Mrs Shiney said the lights had been out all evening. Some of these modern bulbs seem to do that when they go  I just tripped it back in and shall put a new bulb in today - if I have one.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Morning Wakey wakeys!!

Very frosty here too after a -3 night.

Think I will sort through my seeds and make an initial plan of what I want here and at my Dad's next year. Then draw up a sowing guide.

        Have a fabulous day everyone!:glad:

Good mid morning just taken Penny and Tiny for a long walk across the fields ,it was most invigorating,Mrs Woo has the central heating on,I'm afraid Woo and central heating don't get,it must be all those years travelling on the roads breathing in the fresh air,I just love the feel of the cold wind on my face, but I have a room in Woos nest with the radiators turned off and the window open;),anyway enjoy your day my friends:smile:

Good afternoon, better late than never. Gosh it was cold out there early this morning.
WOO, I know how you feel about central heating but then I do feel the cold as well. I find it a necessary evil.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, take care, keep warm and dry, but above everything stay safe and well. God Bless. :wub2:

Know what you mean @moyra :blue thumb:

I now feel the cold more but hate feeling hot and stuffy.I try ( hard though sometimes:snorky:) to gradually add thin layers before turning the heating up to full. We have never had the heating on in our bedroom, couldn't stand that at all, although of course when the kids lived with us we always had theirs on.

                  Aloha everyone,

We have the electrician coming today and he's running a whole new cable, and new fuse, to the switches that supply power to our bathroom. It kept tripping out the fuse as, apparently, the extra load on that fuse (which is the fuse for elsewhere as well) was too much. It means running a new cable from the switch, in an airing cupboard outside the room, up through the cupboard, into the loft, across the loft and down into another fusebox in the hall cupboard that has a spare space. We have two loft hatches at different ends of our bungalow as one goes into the loft over the extension we had built 42 years ago. The old end wall is still there so he will have to drill through it to run the cable.

On the up side - both lofts have built in ladders and a floor and lighting. So he won't have to struggle to work up there. He said that has saved us £70 on his bill. He said he shall have a look at a few other things that aren't quite right that have been too small items to call an electrician in for.

                  Milder outside this morning.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

Good morning @wiseowl ,@shiney and everyone!!:)

32 days!!!:yikes:, haven't even written my cards yet and they normally get done in October.
Not a great Christmas fan on the whole especially since my Mum died and our boys left home .But will undoubtedly make the usual effort and fuss for my Dad and I think we have one son coming down for the holidays.

Can't wait to have grandchildren one day...then it all becomes magical again.:)
This is one thing I really miss from when I worked in childcare, the fabulous build up to Christmas and watching their excitement grow.....and not forgetting being invited to countless nativity assembles!!!!

Busy day in store then @shiny, hope all goes to plan:blue thumb:

I'm off for the day back to my Dad's as Fridays are for doing his laundry and housework.

Have a great day, take care:smile:

Hi all, it’s been really busy in our Pharmacy and very cold too.

My dad has got an operation tomorrow, he’s having a stent put in his heart valve, he keeps telling me not to worry but I do anyway, I will keep you all posted, he goes in at 8am.
Everyone try and keep warm and keep your doors locked :spinning:

Neither have I, but I'm thinking of applying for a loan from the Bank for the cost of the postage stamps:doh: I might get chance to sort some cards out on Sunday and see if I have enough in my Christmas card box or have to go out and get some more. :ideaIPB:I suggested to my friends that we write the greetings in pencil and then the following year rub out the penciling, rewrite the greeting and send the cards back.......but nobody seemed to like the idea.:dunno::heehee:
The landscaper is coming on Sunday with samples of the cobbles to be laid on the patio, etc, next week, so the kettle will be on.
