Woo, sorry to hear your back is playing up at the moment. I hope the WD40 helps but mind where you are spraying it :help:
Kandy you were up early! I hope you manage to get some sleep. Luckily it is fairly quiet here as there is just one lady one side of us and one man the other.
Shiney - I don't like the sound of someone poking around, sounds like he may be casing the joint. I hope you enjoy your day with the plants. I have done all the sweet peas now and OH has made a new net for our pond as the pigeons took to bathing in it! :D I've never seen him move so quick. There's life in the old boy yet.
Here is OH, my youngest son and me with my baby on my lap.

    Hi Jazmine,

Your photo has been done as a thumbnail so is too small for us to see  :)

    Morning Woo and everyone,

Had to grab my camera quick this morning as there was a pillar of light coming down from the clouds to the sun{or it could have been the other way round}so qucikly took some photos of it.Even Mr Kandy jumped out of bed to see it and he reckons it is called a Sun Dog?

Woo,I should think you are already out and about as it is a lovely start to the day.I have just been listening to the most beautiful song of the blackbird and it was delightful:yess:

Shiney hope you had a good day yesterday and i bet you will be glad to see Mrs Shiney when she gets back from the City :yess:

We had a mixed day yesterday and we didn't get to the allotment after all so potted round in the garden as it was such a nice day :yess:

Hope you all have a good day:sunny:

Jazmine sounds like you have had a good time with the sweet peas.I do love the smell of them but tend to grow more of the perrenial ones which do their own thing each year.Pity the photo is too small as Shiney says. Can you not resize it in PB?

Good morning Jazmine, woo, Kandy and everyone,

Jazmine, I've no idea how to get the picture bigger except to take it from where you have the original photo. There had to be an original before it was made into a thumbnail

woo, I'm glad to hear that the WD40 seems to be working. Mrs shiney uses coconut oil on me to get me going (that's just for my aching joints and muscles :heehee: :loll:)

Kandy, Mrs shiney came home last night (she's commuting) and has caught an early train this morning. The college she is at is Regent College in Regent's Park and she says that the flowers in the park look wonderful - so she has taken her camera today. She sits in the park to have her lunch. I'm going to get everything ready this afternoon to do a stir fry for her tonight - a light and tasty meal .

Yesterday was very warm and sunny and I managed some mowing (the grass is growing like mad now), some pressure hosing (Oh, my aching back :heehee:), spent nearly an hour cutting out the dead leaves from the choisya (7ft high and 5ft diameter and starting to flower) and a couple of hours cutting of the dead parts of the viburnums and pulling off the worst affected leaves (pesky viburnum beetle ). I kept the thousand or so new plants in pots and trays lightly watered, watered the more well established plants in the nursery areas with the hose (another thousand or so) and watered the plants in the new flower beds.

Today I shall take it a bit easier. I'll do some more mowing, keep the watering going, give the viburnum beetle its second spraying, sow 100 runner bean seeds and put them in the 6ft mini plastic greenhouse that someone dropped off to us yesterday as they know we have run out of covered space for plants (our 20ft x 10ft greenhouse and the car port are completely full :rolleyespink:). I might do as little pressure hosing if my back isn't aching too much.

    I'm tired already :heehee:

    Have a great day :D

    Morning everyone.

Sorry I've not been about the last few days, have had a horrid couple of days, and am still smarting from the result of it all. But I'll get there. It's work related, so I won't bore you with details, suffice to say, I'm no longer working, and am considering legal action for constructive dismissal. I'm so stressed, so a day in the garden is just what I need today.

    Anyway...

Shiney, that seems like a lot of doing to me, you look after yourself chuck! xx

Woo,. Hope you're back to tip top form too, enjoy your Sunday. :sunny:

Kandy, I'll look forward to seeing the picture you took, sounds marvellous though. :thumb:

Morning Jasmine, hope you're having a wonderful Sunday too.

    Enjoy the sunshine everyone.xx

    Good afternoon everyone,

Haven't been back from the lottie long so have just had a quick bite to eat then will go and have a shower while Mr Kandy is watching the motor racing.:mute::D

We have had a good morning at the allotment and am pleased to say my Peas are at last showing through the soil and i can now make out the Parsnip seedlings as some of them still have their seed coat hanging on the first true leaves :D

Shiney,I haven't been to Regents Park since I was a eleven year old when i went to london on a school trip and saw Goldie the Eagle in the Zoo before he legged it :yess:I bet the flowers look beautiful if they are anything like the spring flowers we have seen out round here :thumb: Take it easy with that pressure washer as you don't want your back to give out completley.:gaagh:

Joolz, sorry to hear about your bad work day.If you want to get it off your chest then speak up as others have done on the forum when they have work issues on other threads. At least that way you can be given impartial advice by members on here as to how to go about fighting your corner as it is not a fair world when it comes to how folk have/are being treated in their working lives, been there, seen it, experienced it...:cry3:I will see if Mr Kandy will put the photos off the camera onto the puter of the sun this morning :hapfeet:

Rightmi'm off for my shower, then have four inches of grass that needs cutting as it has grown very fast this last week or so.My mower sounds will be drowned by the motor racing engines on the telly :heehee:

    Enjoy your afternoon everyone :sunny:

Hello to everyone :sunny: I love that one!
I am stuck in today as OH discovered a water leak and now has the floor boards up and he needs to get that done.
Shiney must try coconut oil on OH to get him going :dbgrtmb::D We are off to London soon, Hampstead Heath!
Kandy you have a busy day by the sounds of it.I wish I had an allotment.
    Woo, it's pleasant here too.
Joolz sorry to hear about your hassles. I hope you will be able to get something sorted.

    Good morning everyone,

penny, every time you show pictures like that it reminds me why I wouldn't want to move to Ontario :heehee:. Sorry!!!! :)

I took it easy yesterday. An hour of spraying for viburnum beetle - got rather hot wrapped up and wearing face mask, watered plants, restricted my mowing to about 2,000 sq ft, sowed 142 runner beans, did a couple of hours of paperwork, went shopping (bought another large chicken and cleaned and portioned it), froze some of the portions and with the rest made a chicken soup, prepared everything for the chicken and veg stir fry I was cooking when Mrs shiney came home and prepared things for the chicken casserole I'm making tonight. I then did some reading sitting in the warm sunshine with a black and white furry thing next to me :)

I was up early today with horrible cramp in my ankle :o but I'm hobbling about OK now :thumb:. I'm off to the chiropodist this morning then I really must get down to clearing some of the piled up paperwork on my desk - about 50 hours might do it :heehee:

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Shiney and everyone,

Shiney sorry to hear you got a bit too hot with trying to combat that dreaded beetle and hope you win in the end.

I am not sure what 2,000sq ft is but I have your word that it is a large area.

My left ankle is aching this morning and was doing so again last evening after we had been out for a good walk across the fiels so it must be catching.Hope you feel better soon and that Mrs Shiney had a good weekend and enjoyed the chicken.

I am rushing this morning as I am just going out so will come back later and add the smilies I have missed.

Hope you all have a good day in all that you do..
