Yawn yawn - wakey wakey..!! Mk 4

Good morning Kandy and Shiney and all my other friends,this is my second visit to Wakey Wakey to day,but I just felt that I had to wish William and Katherine every happiness for to day and the their future hope you all have a lovely day and please stay safe.

It's a bit breezy here but not cold and the sun is coming out

In our village we have had the driest March on record (they've been recording the rainfall since the 1800's) and had just 0.37" and almost all of that was on the 19th and the 30th. We live on the outside of the village and didn't get any on the 19th . I think April is heading for a drier record than that!

We now need to plan for possible rain at the end of May just in case it occurs on open day. I'm off to B & Q today to buy a tarpaulin to put over the top of our pergola so that we can have the bookstall under it. I didn't realise how cheap tarpaulins can be. I checked on line and they have one 4.9m x 7.9m (why not 5 x 8 ) for £11.48. That should just cover it.

Good morning Kandy, Kandy and everyone,

It's another very sunny day today but with quite a strong breeze.

The sprinkler is getting a lot of use and may want to start charging me overtime. We're beginning to wonder what will be in bloom on open day as things are starting to get so advanced . I hope the aquilegia will last that long because they make up the major background colour.

Mrs shiney has banned me from doing any gardening for the whole of the weekend in an attempt to get my back better but it's a struggle not to go round doing things.

Jazmine, that can't be woo - it hasn't got a smile on its face

The sun is shining but it's quite breezy.

Did a load of mowing yesterday . My back is getting better so I think I shall do just a little bit of the pressure hosing and put in some more bean canes.

Good morning everyone,hope you are all OK this morning,its feels really cold here(9c) for May that is but it is dry,its a beautiful day never the less as all days are,so please enjoy your day and stay safe.

 

Good morning penny, woo and everyone,

It's another bright sunny day today. The forecast is for it to reach the low 70's by the afternoon so our plants must be getting confused with chilly nights and hot days.

Once again I seem to have overdone the pressure hosing. I felt fine afterwards but could hardly move by evening and haven't been able to sleep - not that lack of sleep ever bothers me :D.

It has eased up somewhat this morning and I shall be taking it easy for a while. It is bridge club on Tuesday afternoons and tomorrow I have yet another funeral to go to. I think that makes ten so far this year .

Oscar is enjoying this weather and has been acting like a kitten although he is 15 years old. He is his usual over affectionate self with Mrs shiney and whilst she was having a lie down in the sun yesterday he decided that he would be a scarf. He draped himself over her neck, she was lying flat on her back, and went to sleep whilst snoring gently into her ear :kittykiss:
